Chiefs Make Final Decision on Tyreek Hill Trade Rumors Amid Struggles
The Kansas City Chiefs have struggled on offense through the first two games of the season, but aren’t ready to look for outside help to boost the passing game.
The Chiefs fell to 0-2 after Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the first time Patrick Mahomes has ever lost his first two games of the season. The Chiefs have been disjointed on offense while missing two of their top wide receivers, but a new report claims the team has no interest in bringing back a former star to help Mahomes.
Chiefs Leaving Tyreek Hill Alone
There have been growing rumors that the Miami Dolphins could be willing to trade speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who has expressed discontent with the team’s direction in the past few years. The Dolphins also fell to 0-2 after a loss to the New England Patriots and have another challenge ahead, facing the Buffalo Bills on Thursday amid a short week.
If the Dolphins should drop to 0-3, they could look to become sellers at the upcoming trade deadline with Hill expected to be a top target.
Though the Chiefs have been pegged as a likely landing spot for Hill, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that the team is not planning to seek a reunion. The team instead is looking to get rolling as its top two receivers return to the field.
“And if you’re wondering whether Brett Veach, the always-savvy GM in Kansas City, might be tempted to pick up the phone and arrange a reunion with his former star receiver, I’m told the focus for now is on getting Xavier Worthy healthy as the Chiefs await the return of Rashee Rice from a six-game suspension,” Russini reported.
Hill has shown that he remains a productive receiver at age 31, making 10 receptions for 149 yards so far this season despite the Dolphins struggling on offense at times.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported earlier in the week that the Dolphins are not yet ready to consider trade offers for Hill — though that could change.
“If the losing persists, perhaps those phone lines open,” Fowler reported. “The Dolphins already exercised Hill’s $15.85 million option bonus, leaving a $10 million base salary and $1.8 million in per-game bonuses.”
Xavier Worthy Could Return Soon
While Rice won’t be back on the field until Week 7, the Chiefs could see Worthy return sooner than initially feared. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that he plans to return in Week 3 while playing with a harness to protect his torn labrum.
Mahomes expressed confidence that the team can dig out of the early 0-2 start, saying he believes the team is close to breaking out of the early-season slump.
“This isn’t how we wanted to start,” Mahomes told reporters after Sunday’s loss, via NBC News. “But how are we going to respond? I’m excited for the next few weeks to see who wants to be challenged and how we can get back and really get after it.
“I know it sucks to hear for the fans, but I feel like we’re close. All we can do is continue to work.”
Tom Brady Proves He Can't Stay Away from Football: “I’m Not Done Yet” in Shocking New Announcement

In a bombshell announcement that has sent shockwaves through the NFL, Tom Brady, the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, has made it clear that he’s far from finished with football. The legendary quarterback, who retired earlier this year, revealed in his latest statement that he simply can't stay away from the game, fueling rumors of a potential return to the field.
“I’m not done yet,” Brady declared in a statement that has left fans and analysts buzzing. "Football is in my blood. The passion is still there, and while I may be wearing a different hat as part of the Raiders organization, I’m always ready to step back on that field when the time comes."
The announcement has raised eyebrows across the league, with many questioning whether Brady’s legendary career is truly over. Despite his previous retirement, Brady's unwavering love for the game and competitive drive may be pushing him toward a return to action—potentially with the Raiders.
"Being part of this organization, I’ve realized just how much I miss the grind, the preparation, and the competition," Brady continued. "I’ve seen the hunger in the Raiders' locker room, and it fires me up. Who knows what the future holds?"
Brady’s statement has sparked a frenzy among NFL fans, with social media lighting up with speculation about his next move. Could the greatest quarterback of all time be coming out of retirement once again? And if so, could he be making another run at the NFL title, this time with the Raiders?
One thing is certain: Tom Brady's connection to football is far from over, and the world is watching to see if he makes another legendary comeback.
