Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Are Related to THIS Bachelor Nation Star
Bachelor Nation fans met Lily Reeves on Season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
Now, the Bachelor Nation star is opening up to People magazine about her A-list family. While she didn’t discuss it directly on the show, Lily’s younger sister is actress Rita Wilson.
Rita has been married to actor Tom Hanks since 1988, making Tom Lily’s brother in law.
Lily spoke to the outlet about the first time she met Tom, saying, “I remember when she did ‘Volunteers' and she came home after the movie and she just went, ‘Yeah, I think I really like this guy, you know?’ And so when she first met Tom, he wasn’t very huge.”
And she opened up about what it’s like being related to such massive stars.
Lily said, “They’ve remained... very, very humble people in a way. They’ve always tried not to raise their kids to be spoiled brats. You know, ‘You have to earn things and all that.’ And so I’m happy for her that she has the life that she has. I got to experience a lot of really, really cool things, through Rita and Tom.”
She shared that she’s tagged along with them to the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, and more throughout her life.
The Bachelor Nation star explained how Tom was an important father-like figure in her daughters’ lives.
“They saw Tom more than, really, their dad a lot of the time,” Lily shared. “And, you know, he was there kind of as an adult, a good adult figure for my daughters to look up to also. And so I appreciate that, too. He’s been wonderful. That’s all I can say.”
