Terry McLaurin Avoids IR, Giving Commanders a Boost for the Road Ahead
The Washington Commanders got some good news on the Terry McLaurin injury front, as reports are that he will not head to injured reserve . This is much-needed as the Commanders head into Week 4 against the
“The expectation is Commanders will not place Terry McLaurin on IR. Team treating this as true week-to-week situation,” ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler tweeted on Saturday.
McLaurin is out with a quad injury, and although he has consulted with multiple doctors, he is not expected to have surgery. Now, with this news that he won’t go on IR, it looks as though the team thinks he could be back in the next two to three weeks. For the Commanders, who won last week despite Daniels and McLaurin’s injuries, that helps boost their playoff hopes.
Before getting hurt, McLaurin had 10 catches for 149 yards in three games. This is coming off a stellar 2024 campaign that saw the seven-year NFL vet put up 82 grabs for 1,096 yards and a stellar 13 touchdowns. He also added 14 for 227 in Washington’s playoff run with three postseason touchdowns.
While the Terry McLaurin injury news is good for the team’s long-term hopes, the more pressing concerns are the Commanders’ Week 4 matchup with the Falcons. The team will once again start Marcus Mariota, and they head to Atlanta to face a team desperate for a win after taking a 30-0 beating by the Carolina Panthers in Week 3.
Last week, in Washington’s 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Mariota was 15-of-21 for 207 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. The Commanders’ leading receiver was McLaurin, who had three catches for 74 yards before exiting the game. In his absence, offseason free agent acquisition Deebo Samuel will have to step up, as will Luke McCaffrey, Chris Moore, and rookie Jayliin Lane.
Robert Irwin’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 34 Stunning Salary Revealed

Fan favorite Robert Irwin is making his mark on “Dancing With the Stars” and cashing in a hefty paycheck along the way. The 21-year-old TV personality reportedly earns a base salary of $125,000 (about A$188,000) for his first two weeks on the ABC competition, according to Variety.

Bindi and Grace Irwin supporting Robert on #DWTS ….. i am not ok. 😭
His sister Bindi Irwin knows that path well — she won the Mirrorball Trophy back in 2015.
Carrying on Steve Irwin’s Legacy
Look at how young Robert Irwin was when he was first at DWTs to support his sister!! And now he’s dancing (and probably gonna win) 🥲🥲 #DWTS #DWTS34
Irwin’s journey comes with extra poignancy given the legacy of his father, the late conservationist Steve Irwin. Steve, who died in 2006 after being stung by a stingray in the Great Barrier Reef, reinvested a significant portion of his fortune in wildlife conservation.
His wife, Terri, later revealed that he had left the family with little financial security, apart from a $200,000 life insurance policy, as per a report in The New York Post.
Despite those early struggles, both Robert and Bindi have followed in their father’s footsteps as wildlife warriors and beloved public figures. “When I see a picture of my dad or footage, I actually love having his presence around,” Robert reflected on a podcast last year.
“Living in Australia Zoo, he’s everywhere — the images and pictures, the videos and the sound, he’s still a part of every day for me.”
Robert Emerges as a ‘DWTS’ Fan FavoriteIrwin’s appeal on DWTS goes beyond his paycheck. During Week 1, he and partner Witney Carson charmed audiences with a high-energy jive that doubled as a nod to his family’s outdoorsman heritage. In Week 2, the duo performed a tango to Junior Senior’s 2002 hit “Move Your Feet,” earning 22/30 from the judges and tying for the night’s top score.
Tango was FUN 🎉 I am so grateful that we get to do this every week, and I feel incredibly blessed to be part of the @officialdwts fam ☺️#TeamIrWINit will see you next week 🐊🪩
Off-screen, fans quickly embraced him online for his wholesome charm and striking resemblance to his father. “Give Robert Irwin the Mirrorball. I’ve seen enough,” one fan wrote on X. Another declared: “WE MUST PROTECT ROBERT IRWIN omg.”

With his career on the rise, Irwin admits he’s still searching for love off the dance floor. Speaking to E! News after a recent performance, he shared that his top priority is finding someone with “genuine kindness.”
“My life is a whirlwind, it’s an adventure,” he said. “I would love to be able to share that with someone and to share those little moments. I have a lot of great role models in the love department and a lot of people I look up to and go, ‘Wow, couples goals.’ So I want to find that.”
For now, though, Irwin is focused on the Mirrorball and on proving that he’s more than just a legacy name in the ballroom.
