Ndamukong Suh says what every Eagles fan already knows about Jalen Hurts
It's not very often you hear a defensive lineman come to praise a quarterback much less Ndamukong Suh, but on Kay Adams' "Up & Adams show", came to the defense of his 2022 teammate.
Suh mentioned that Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts may have been slighted on his NFL Top 100 ranking. Adams asked Suh to share his opinion on past quarterbacks who are currently in the NFL, gathering the defensive linemen's opinions on quarterbacks Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford, and Hurts.
Suh's argument for Hurts and whether he's right or wrong
"I think Jalen should be a little bit higher, there's something that I don't think a lot of people understand his success and I know they give him a lot grief for being more of a running quarterback, and not having the stats from a passing perspective, but you also have to be very, very keen on they're (Eagles) sometimes blowing teams out, and you forget who his running mate is in Saquon, like why would not run the ball, and run the clock out and get the game over, and go home to get healthy, and get ready for the next game. So, you got to understand the full scheme of what they are trying to do, and create over there in Philly, and I got to be a part of that, obviously without Saquon, but we had great running backs when he wasn't there, and so ultimately, I think Jalen should be a lot higher".

Suh has been around some premier passers during his 13-year NFL career, while also playing in three Super Bowls (winning one) alongside some of the league's most talented signal-callers. The five-time Pro Bowler's praise for the Eagles QB1 not only shows the respect his current peers have for him but also the past legends of his era.
While one could argue that Hurts' passing statistics are slightly underwhelming, the tenacity he has brought to the Eagles since 2020 is unmatched. With a 46-20 record, 6-3 playoff record, two Super Bowl appearances, two Pro Bowls, and 55 rushing touchdowns (140 total), Hurts has proven that he's exactly what Philadelphia needs at this time and for the future.
