Was Luna Meant to Be a Good Girl Gone Bad on Bold and the Beautiful?
When Luna Nozawa first joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 2023, she wasn’t written as a bad girl. She was someone who was sweet and innocent, much like Electra Forrester. However, her character then took a dark turn.
B&B viewers have questioned Luna’s shocking transition, which played out over the course of a year. Meanwhile, actress Lisa Yamada shared the shocking truth about her on-screen alter ego.

Key Takeaways
- Luna was initially meant to be a good girl.
- She revealed herself as a baddie who had a penchant for murdering.
- Yamada shared the truth behind her character’s transition.
B&B Fans Want the Truth
On Reddit, one fan posed the question, “Was Luna once a good girl gone wild?” They wanted to know what happened to the former Forrester Creations intern.
They recalled the time when Luna (Lisa Yamada, learn these five fast facts about her) accidentally took her mother’s mints while sneaking into Zende’s (Delon de Metz) apartment. She claimed that she was drugged and thought she was sleeping with RJ (Joshua Hoffman).
One person responded, “Luna admitted that sleeping with Zende was a plan, and she was never on drugs. She was fully aware of what she was doing. I still don’t understand the point, but she slept with him on purpose and wanted everyone to think he had taken advantage of her when she was never actually on drugs.”
Luna told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that RJ was a “boy,” while Zende was a “real man.” She wanted something different and willingly jumped into bed with Zende once she knew he was interested in her. This was her way to sleep with him without making it look like she was cheating on RJ.
She’s also committed a series of crimes since then. Luna killed Tom Starr (Clint Howard) when she thought he was her biological father. She also killed Hollis (Hollis Chambers) when she found him tampering with the evidence. In addition to her crimes, Luna has tried to kill Steffy more than once and shot her grandmother, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), in the foot.
What Happened To Luna?
On the new episode of the Soapy podcast, Lisa Yamada shared what happened to her on-screen persona. She admitted, “In the beginning, I was playing this sweet, virginal girl… And no one was buying it.” Luna was initially cast as RJ’s love interest.
Things changed course around the holidays, when Yamada informed head writer and executive producer Bradley Bell. “I drunkenly told him at a Christmas party that I want to be bad. And he was like, ‘OK.'”
Yamada didn’t expect her character to end up murdering people, framing her mom for that order, shooting a daycare, and raping Will Spencer (Crew Morrow). “I meant like a badass,” Yamada clarified. “But [Bell] totally took it and ran with it.”
Rachel Zoe on Joining the RHOBH Cast: ‘We’re All Going Through Stuff’

Life may have changed a lot for Rachel Zoe, but she is trying to keep things positive. She opened up about how she felt about joining

Rachel was announced as the newest cast member last June. She seemed like a great fit for RHOBH. And while fans were still sad to see Garcelle Beavais exit the series, they were excited to see Rachel step back into the spotlight.
Rachel Zoe would “have to kill you” if she spilled too many RHOBH Season 15 details
“I loved being in an ensemble,” Rachel told PEOPLE about how RHOBH differed from The Rachel Zoe Project. “It was really nice for it not to just be on me and about me and always me. I’m so much more interested in other people’s lives than I am my own, so that was really nice to kind of be with the other women all the time.”
She said that having people to lean on was also nice. “And listen, we’re all going through stuff. So I think it’s nice that we kind of had each other to do that with,” she shared. Honestly, the newly dropped RHOBH trailer looks a bit different than women supporting one another but we’ll have to wait and see.
Plus, the life Rachel is living now is very different from her life back during her first show in 2008.
“I have full-blown children now and obviously I’m getting divorced, so that’s a whole ‘nother thing,” she revealed. Rachel filed for divorce from Rodger Berman in July, following 26 years of marriage. They have two sons together.
“Life is life-ing really hard on all sides right now, so I just have a lot,” she admitted. “I just have to stay positive because if I break, everything breaks. So there’s no breaking.” And she’s not wrong about the other Housewives going through things too. Kyle Richards is navigating life separated from Mauricio Umansky, while PK Kemsley and Dorit Kemsley are facing their own divorce struggles.
As for what fans will be seeing when RHOBH returns in December, Rachel is keeping mum about that! “I’d have to kill you if I told you, but I can’t tell you anything,” she said. “We had fun. I think it’ll be interesting.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 premieres Thursday, December 4 at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes stream next-day on Peacock.
