Steelers Send AFC North Rival Myles Garrett Into Spiral As He Completely Calls Out Browns Offense
The Pittsburgh Steelers have not lost at home to the Cleveland Browns since 2003, and that streak continued after they got a relatively easy win at Acrisure Stadium in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. Nearly every single thing was going Pittsburgh's way, as Cleveland had no answers for anything that Mike Tomlin's unit was doing. The score does not do it justice; it was an overall dominating performance on both sides of the ball, even though neither team was able to get a turnover. Phenomenal play in the trenches is what helped the Steelers win the game.
After the game, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett blew up on his own team. It started with him calling out Cleveland's own offense for being unable to get the job done, as he said that his group finds a way to "lose the same way every time."
The Steelers held the Browns to just 248 total yards, as it wasn't a very fun matchup Cleveland. They failed to get touchdowns whenever they would have any sort of a quality drive, and they were limited to just nine points. This makeshift offensive line could not keep rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel upright at all, and the secondary did its job in keeping receivers uncomfortable when running crossing routes.
Later on, Garrett was asked about watching how well the Steelers' pass rush was doing. He responded with a subtle shot at his own defense's performance in this game.
It didn't matter whether it was the first quarter or the fourth quarter; the Steelers were still drawing up blitzes. With a two-score lead, cornerback Jalen Ramsey came flying in from a slot blitz to take Gabriel down for the sixth and final time in this contest. Meanwhile, Garrett and the Browns could not get any sort of pressure on Aaron Rodgers, as the veteran diced up this Cleveland defense.
There is nothing that motivates Garrett like a game against the Steelers. He was talking trash throughout the preparation about how he was going to add Rodgers to his "graveyard" and how Steeler Nation "fuels" him. He certainly was not fueled up in this matchup, as he only recorded two tackles, with one of them coming late in the fourth quarter when the game already seemed to be out of reach.
Steelers Win First Battle Of The Year Against The Browns
What makes everything even more hilarious is the fact that Garrett always talks about how Steelers fans say that TJ Watt is better than him. In this case, however, Garrett talked about how it "must be nice" for Pittsburgh to be able to generate pressure on the quarterback when the supposed-best edge rusher can only complain.
On the other side, Watt made an impact in numerous ways. He had five tackles, a half-sack, and a pass defended as he kept putting pressure on Gabriel. It seemed like nearly every Steeler on defense was having a field day, especially around the line of scrimmage. Watt didn't do everything, of course, but he made sure the commentators said his name while Garrett stayed invisible.
Garrett may now learn to shut his mouth and focus on preparing for the game, as opposed to talking trash and posting a hype/hate video on social media. He got absolutely humbled in the Week 6 game, and he is throwing his team under the bus because of it. He chose to stay in Cleveland and get a ridiculous payday as opposed to contending like he claimed he wanted to in the offseason.
Fred Warner's Season-Ending Injury Adds to 49ers’ Growing List of Setbacks

The San Francisco 49ers were dealt another blow Sunday when linebacker Fred Warner exited in the first quarter of their 30-19 loss with a season-ending right ankle injury.
Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed after the game that Warner had dislocated and fractured his ankle, requiring surgery that will sideline him for the rest of the season.

When was Fred Warner Injured?
The injury occurred with just under eight minutes remaining in the first quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On a first-and-10 from Tampa Bay’s 36-yard line, running back Rachaad White ran off left tackle for a 10-yard gain. Warner appeared to stop White, but as he attempted the tackle, Niners safety Ji’Ayir Brown collided with the back of Warner’s right ankle.
Brown immediately recognized the severity of the injury, while Warner’s teammates quickly dropped to their knees with hands on their heads as San Francisco’s medical staff rushed to his side.
Within minutes, Warner was taken off the field on a cart. His right foot and ankle were stabilized in an air cast as teammates offered well wishes before he was escorted to the locker room.
Before the injury, Warner was on the verge of surpassing Hall of Famer Patrick Willis’ franchise record for career tackles, needing just five more to reach the milestone.
Second-year linebacker Tatum Bethune entered the game in Warner’s place.
The Niners Have Lost Nearly All There Top Players to Injuries
Warner’s injury adds to the mounting list of setbacks for the 49ers, who nonetheless hold a 4-2 record.
San Francisco lost defensive end Nick Bosa to a season-ending torn ACL in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals and has been without key contributors at various times, including tight end George Kittle (hamstring), quarterback Brock Purdy (toe), and receivers Ricky Pearsall (knee), Brandon Aiyuk (knee), and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs, shoulder).
Despite the injuries, the Niners have a top 5 offensive rank in total yards per game, while they are in the middle of the pack on the defensive side of the ball.
Mac Jones Couldn’t Deliver Win This Time
Mac Jones has at times played well while filling in for Purdy. On Sunday, he made some mistakes against Bucs, who are playing at an elite level to start the 2025 NFL season.
The 49ers were threatening to tie the game when Jones threw an interception to Jamel Dean on fourth-and-5 from the Buccaneers’ 33-yard line with just under six minutes remaining.
The turnover set up Chase McLaughlin’s 45-yard field goal, pushing Tampa Bay’s lead to 30-19.
Battling knee and oblique injuries, Jones finished with 347 passing yards and two interceptions, marking his first loss in four starts filling in for Purdy.
“Obviously didn’t play my best,” Jones said postgame. “I’m proud we went out there and fought. I just want to go out there and practice and see what I can do better.”
Next week, the Niners host the Atlanta Falcons on “Sunday Night Football,” Oct. 19.
