Aviral training practice fight between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks was the talk of the town. Even with two NFL preseason games, Zach Tom’s punches seemed to be the focal point of the day.
Kay Adams had a chance to visit Green Bay as the final destination in her training camp journey. She spoke with Matt LaFleur, Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, and the Packers $64 million defensive tackle about one of the biggest fights this season.
Kenny Clark Gives His Opinion on the Packers and Seahawks Training Camp Scuffle
Kenny Clark had a chance to sit down with Adams who wanted all of the information on what went down during the fight. On a team centered around young players, Clark is a true leader. He’s a veteran of the league, having been in Green Bay since 2016.
The Packers No. 27 overall pick in 2016 knew that Seattle was going to be physical going into their joint practice, “I was in a couple of them [fights] today. It’s football though. I love the scuffles and going against a very competitive, a great team in the Seahawks. We knew it was going to be a battle against them. They were going to come out with physicality and we had to match it.”
Sounds like the Seahawks started it?

“Lots of crossing the line,” Clark said as to what started the big fight. “Guys being physical and when you have two physical teams and two teams that are fighting for something, you’re going to get a lot of fights. There were a lot of competitors out there.”
Clark continued, “Honestly for the big guys, after the scuffle I was tired. Holding people back, you getting held back, all the big guys I know. Everybody tired.”
Kenny Clark Comments on the Two Players That Were the Most Fired Up Out of Everybody
While it was clear that head coach LaFleur is not a fan of fighting, the Packers showed up. Clark found himself in the scuffle while it was Tucker Kraft and Zach Tom that stole the show. A video of Tom throwing punches seemed to be the highlight of the day.

“That’s Tuck. All he’s about is contact,” Clark said when Adams asked if he was surprised about the tight end’s involvement. Packers fans have seen an aggressive side of their third-year tight end who is looking to establish himself as one of the best this season.
As for Tom’s outrage, Clark did not expect to see that side of Green Bay’s $88 million lineman, “It’s surprising. Zach got that money and I don’t know. He’s just so chill. When he was out there fighting I knew it was crazy.”
Whether he got paid or not, it’s clear the 26-year-old still has that fire in him. Tom is coming off of a 2024 season where he was ranked 4th out of 140 tackles, according to Pro Football Focus.
His massive payday was more than justified as Clark’s future in Green Bay remains unknown. Regardless, he played a small role in the Seahawks fight and had no issues speaking to Adams about everything that went down.
