Kyle Juszczyk’s Wife Shares Positive Update on FB’s Concussion Injury
Early in Sunday’s game at the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers fan-favorite FB Kyle Juszczyk exited the game with an apparent injury. In the second quarter, Juszczyk was forced to leave the game and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of it, and it was later revealed he’s in concussion protocol.
On Monday morning, Juszczyk’s wife Kristin shared on update on Instagram, saying, “Kyle’s doing okay you guys, thank you for everyone who’s [asking],” along with a heart emoji.
It’s an encouraging update for Niners fans, as Juszczyk is so important to everything San Francisco wants to do on offense. Sounds like he’ll be back on the field sooner rather than later for his 49ers.
San Francisco 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan on How Backup QB Mac Jones Played and the Impact of FB Kyle Juszczyk’s Injury

“I thought Mac [Jones] played real well,” Shanahan said in his post-game press conference. “We had a number of things we had to change up, it was a big deal losing [Juszczyk] there early in the game, especially with Kittle out, just the stuff we had to do with other tight ends.”
“So we were scrambling there for a little bit trying to figure some things out. Thought he handled the situation well, thought he delivered the ball real well. Obviously would like to have that fumble back, hopefully we can get rid of it a little earlier — it didn’t look like anyone was really open, though. But yeah, I thought he did a hell of a job.”
Injuries Continue to Mount on Offense for the San Francisco 49ers
Midway through last season, star Niners WR Brandon Aiyuk tore his ACL. He won’t be back for at least a few weeks yet, but San Francisco entered the season expecting that. These other offensive injuries, however, are taking a toll.
LT Rashawn Slater, one of the best offensive tackles in the league, tore his patella tendon in training camp and is out for the year. Star TE George Kittle was an engine of production early in Week 1 against the Seahawks, but he suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter and is currently on Injured Reserve (IR).
While Aiyuk is out, Jauan Jennings is the 49ers’ top wide receiver. But after dealing with a calf injury throughout training camp, he suffered a shoulder injury against the Seahawks that’s been hampering him, though he played against the Saints. WRs Jacob Cowing and Trent Taylor are also on IR. That’s not including WR Demarcus Robinson, who is currently serving a three-game suspension to open the season.
And then there’s starting QB Brock Purdy. Fresh off a massive extension, Purdy suffered shoulder and toe injuries against the Seahawks and missed the Saints game, forcing Jones into the starting lineup. He could be out another few weeks.
Cincinnati Bengals Have Already Explored 1 Intriguing Quarterback Trade

The Cincinnati Bengals are once again facing a nightmare scenario when it comes to superstar quarterback Joe Burrow.
In Week 2 action against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he went down with a toe injury and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. It has now been revealed that Burrow could miss at least three months due to the injury. He could end up missing the rest of the season.
Due to the severity of the injury, it seems likely that the Bengals will look into adding another quarterback. Jake Browning is currently viewed as the replacement for Burrow, but he might not be the right guy to lead the team.
Already, Cincinnati has looked into one potential trade option that would bring a potential starter onboard.
Cincinnati Bengals Have Already Explored 1 Intriguing Quarterback Trade
According to a report from Easton Butler of Packer Report, the Bengals have called the Green Bay Packers about quarterback Malik Willis.
Willis would be a very interesting addition for Cincinnati. When Jordan Love went out last season due to injury, the young quarterback was able to step in and play admirably. He kept the Packers winning football games and showed that he has starting potential.
During the 2024 season as a whole, Willis played in seven total games. He completed 74.1 percent of his pass attempts for 550 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, while also running for 138 yards and another score.
At 26 years old, Willis could offer the Bengals a long-term backup option. Browning could end up being the guy the team sticks with and keeps around to back up Burrow, but Willis is an intriguing option.
It’s also important to note that Willis would not have to be kept past the 2025 season. He could simply be acquired to be another option alongside Browning.
Expect to hear more coming out of Cincinnati about a new quarterback being acquired or signed. Willis is a name worth keeping a close eye on after this report.
