Justin Bieber’s Vulnerability Helped Pal Dylan Efron Prepare for DWTS Dance
Dylan Efron’s journey on “Dancing with the Stars” continues after an impressive performance in Week 3. Efron and his professional dance partner Daniella Karagach impressed judges and fans with their Foxtrot to “YUKON” by Justin Bieber for TikTok week, but many fans may not realize there is a personal connection to this song.
Dylan Efron’s Connection to Justin Bieber
“The Traitors” winner revealed how the musician has helped him perform onstage, which is something he has never done before.
“What makes me respect Justin so much is he makes people feel comfortable being vulnerable,” Efron told cameras, People reports. “And my experience on this show is like a vulnerable moment for me. He’s not perfect, but he’s trying to be better every day.” Powerful words that will likely resonate with many. Bieber and Efron are friends, People reports.
Karagach also commented on the choreography, saying, “This is the perfect dance for Dylan to turn into the leading man that [judge] Derek [Hough] wants him to be.” Hough was tough on Efron in Week 2, and ahead of his Foxrot, Efron wanted to show the judges how he could be “that leading man” and that he intended to “dominate.”
He did that, and Efron received praise from judges for his performance, scoring 23 out of 30.
Dylan Efron Grateful for DWTS Experience
Ahead of their dance routine, Efron gave fans a sneak peek into what was to come with an Instagram post of himself and Karagach dancing in sweatpants. He also encouraged fans to vote in the caption. “Sneak Peak. Need your help again to keep this journey going! Set alarms and vote at 8p EST / 5p PST,” he wrote in the caption. “Text DYLAN to “21523” 10 times for us please.” He ended his caption with a smiling face emoji.
Fans flooded the comment section with messages of love and support for Efron and Karagach.
Minutes ago, on Thursday, October 2, Efron also posted a photo dump on Instagram of his experiences from throughout the week, expressing his gratitude. “Photo dump and little reminder to journal still feels unreal that i’m really dooin this but proud of myself for showin up fully every day and goin all in,” he wrote in the caption. “I love this.”
Fans have shown their support once again, and Efron has really grown in this competition. It’s hard to believe that just weeks ago, he had no dance experience. We look forward to seeing what Efron and Karagach will bring to Week 4!
