Just days after the trade deadline, Christian Watson upon learning that he wasn’t included in the contract extension plans due to his injury – moved the entire Packers Nation when he said: ‘I need a contract to fight in this jersey.’
Just days after the trade deadline, Christian Watson – the young and promising wide receiver of the Green Bay Packers – moved the entire Packers Nation with his heartfelt words amid growing uncertainty about his future. Despite a lingering hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for most of the season, Watson sent out a powerful message: “I don’t need money or fame. I just need the chance to fight in this jersey to hear the ‘Go Pack Go!’ chants, to sweat, and to fall on Lambeau Field, the place where my heart will always belong.”
It wasn’t a demand — it was a plea from the heart of a man once expected to be the offensive cornerstone of the Jordan Love era. He wants to keep fighting, to prove he still has value to the team that believed in him from draft day.
According to internal sources, Watson personally met with general manager Brian Gutekunst right after practice earlier this week. The conversation lasted more than 20 minutes — no cameras, no reporters, just two men sitting in a quiet office overlooking Lambeau Field. When Watson walked out, he didn’t say a word — he just nodded.

A few hours later, Gutekunst was asked about Watson’s future. His response was brief, but it left the entire press room silent: “We don’t just sign players with healthy legs — we keep the hearts that are willing to fight for Green Bay. Because what makes the Packers special isn’t just strength, it’s belief, loyalty, and the will to give everything, even when the body gives out.”
That statement spread across social media, leaving fans deeply moved. To them, Watson isn’t just a player battling to save his career — he’s a symbol of loyalty, faith, and perseverance.
And even though a new contract hasn’t yet been placed on the table, one thing is certain — amid all the injuries and doubts, Christian Watson has already found something far greater than a deal: recognition, respect, and love from the team he will always call home.
Alvin Kamara: Fantasy Bust of 2025? Saints Star Urged to Sit Despite Playing Through Injury
The New Orleans Saints have a question mark at the running back position going into their Week 10 game against the Carolina Panthers.
![]()
That's because running back Alvin Kamara is dealing with an ankle injury that has him questionable to play. Kamara didn't log a full practice all week and instead participated on a limited basis three times.
That's typically not a great sign for a player's chances of suiting up, but Kamara is also an experienced vet who can play without practicing in full.
So, is Kamara going to shed his questionable tag and play against Carolina?
Here's the latest update on that.
Is Alvin Kamara playing today?
Unfortunately, we don't have an answer for this question because no NFL insiders have reported on Kamara's status one way or the other, so we'll have to make an educated guess.
Kamara has been dealing with the ankle injury for weeks now, yet he hasn't missed a game. In fact, he practiced on a limited basis only in each of the last two weeks and was able to suit up.
We would assume the same happens in Week 10, but we could be wrong, also, so make sure to keep an eye out for the list of inactives an hour and a half before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff..
Alvin Kamara start or sit advice
This season has been a disaster for Kamara and his owners, as the veteran back ranks as RB37 overall in terms of fantasy points per game. Kamara has been really bad the last three weeks, as he's only tallied 13.1 fantasy points total in that span.
One major problem is that the Saints simply aren't that good offensively, which limited Kamara's scoring chances and allows defenses to key in on him. But another issue is Kamara's workload hasn't been there since Week 5.
Over his first four games, Kamara averaged 19.5 touches per contest. In his last five, he's averaging 11.2 per game.
The Panthers are a middle-of-the-road defense when it comes to giving up fantasy points to backs, so this isn't even that great of a matchup for Kamara, either.
Outside of owners with the bye-week blues, we would suggest sitting Kamara for a more consistent player in your flex spot.
