Jets Receive Good News Days Before Falcons Game
The New York Jets received plenty of good news ahead of their Week 13 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi revealed that the Falcons are “unlikely” to have the services of wide receiver Drake London this Sunday.
“[Head] coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday that he regards London as doubtful to play Sunday against the New York Jets. London has been dealing with a posterior cruciate ligament strain in his left knee and missed last Sunday’s victory over the New Orleans Saints. Morris said London has been moving better and that he expects him to be back soon,” Raimondi wrote.
London’s Absence Is a Massive Needle Mover for the Game
How big a deal is it for the Jets if London doesn’t suit up? It’s a game-changer.
London leads Atlanta in every major statistical category this season for a pass catcher: targets (94), receptions (60), receiving yards (810), touchdowns (six), 20+ yard receiving plays (12), and receptions that resulted in a first down (39), per ESPN.
Those video game numbers would be impressive under any circumstances. However, those are even more eyebrow-raising when you consider, London has already missed two games this season.
The Good News Continue to Roll in for the Jets
Atlanta being weaker is good news, but the Jets being healthier might be even better news.
“When it comes to injuries, the only person of note is Harrison [Phillips], but I expect him to be a part of practice going into the later part of this week. So he will be just fine. That is the only injury of note, so that is a good feeling going into this part of the season. Just to have that one guy who again will be a part of practice [later in the week],” head coach Aaron Glenn explained on Wednesday, November 26.
Later on Wednesday, the team issued the first official injury report for Week 13. The only player who appeared was Phillips, with a foot issue, and he didn’t practice on Wednesday.
“Kirk Cousins will continue to lead the Falcons at the quarterback position as Michael Penix Jr. underwent surgery to repair a partially torn ACL [on] Tuesday. Defensive back Billy Bowman Jr. also went under the knife this week to repair a reported ruptured Achilles tendon,” Falcons team reporter Tori McElhaney wrote.
“In other injury news, the Falcons still have their two starting offensive guards working through injuries. Matthew Bergeron (ankle) was a limited participant [on] Wednesday, while Chris Lindstrom (foot) did not participate,” McElhaney added.

Just 48 Hours After Being Cut, Former First-Round Pick Stuns NFL by Declaring He Wants to Join the Denver Broncos — Even Willing to Take a Pay Cut Just to Wear the Jersey

Denver, Colorado — Today
Just two days after being released by the Cowboys, Kaiir Elam, the former first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, has stunned the NFL by making one thing very clear: he wants to join the Denver Broncos — and he’s even willing to take a pay cut just for the chance to wear orange and blue.
At just 24 years old, Elam isn’t hiding what he wants. People close to him say he immediately told his representatives that “the Broncos are my No. 1 choice.” For him, this isn’t about chasing the biggest paycheck. This is about identity, redemption, and a player trying to find the version of himself he still believes in.
Back in Buffalo, Elam showed exactly why he was a first-rounder. He posted 47 tackles as a rookie and delivered a huge interception in the 2022 Wild Card game against the Miami Dolphins — a moment that made Bills Mafia believe they’d found their next impact corner. But injuries, scheme changes, and depth chart battles slowly pushed his career off track in a way no one expected.
Through all of it, though, Elam’s belief in himself never disappeared. He still believes he can be the player Buffalo thought they drafted — if he can find the right environment. And in his mind, Denver is that place. A defense built on being tough, physical, disciplined — exactly the kind of football Elam has always wanted to play, from Florida to the pros.
Shortly after leaving Dallas, Elam shared a message that immediately caught the attention of Broncos fans and league insiders alike:
“If I have to start from the bottom in Denver, I’m ready. I’m not asking for guarantees. I just need a chance to compete, to earn it, and to be worthy of that jersey.”
In a league where young players often look for bigger roles, bigger markets, and bigger numbers, a former first-round pick choosing sacrifice over entitlement says everything about where his mindset is now. Especially at a time when the Broncos sit at 8–3, locked in a playoff race and quietly worrying about depth in the secondary.
According to multiple sources, Denver has taken notice. A young corner with length, speed, press-man ability, flashes of playoff production, and a burning desire to prove himself again — that’s exactly the kind of player playoff teams like to bring in late in the year.
Elam isn’t promising stardom. He isn’t demanding a starting job. He isn’t negotiating over snap counts.
He’s only promising work, humility, and a relentless hunger to become himself again — in a Broncos uniform.
And as the news spreads through Broncos Country, one thing is becoming more and more clear:
The story of Kaiir Elam might be far from over.
It might just be getting its next chapter —
in Denver, at Empower Field at Mile High, under the cold lights of December, where players either fade… or finally become who they were meant to be.
