Isaiah Rodgers Calls Out Troll After Receiving Vile, Racist Messages Post-Eagles Loss
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers was on the receiving end of disgusting messages following his team's 28-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday ... with an unhinged individual calling him racial slurs and "a worthless piece of s***."
Rodgers -- who signed a two-year deal with Minnesota in the offseason -- posted the vile DMs on his Instagram Story. In the exchange, the person stated "u f***ing suck" after he got beat on a third-down pass play that ultimately gave the reigning Super Bowl champs the win.
The texts only got worse from there -- on top of the slurs, Rodgers was told he was "waste of air" and "worse than Hitler".
Rodgers' screenshot showed he responded with a "f*** you" ... and when the user tried to delete the messages, he made it clear the damage was already done.
They did apologize after Rodgers' callout ... and admitted what they did was unacceptable.
Plenty of fans came to the defense of the former Eagle ... calling the person out for their horrible words.
Rodgers opted not to reveal the identity of the troll.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. In 2023, Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson was sent racist messages after he was ejected for a hit during the team's matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
In 2024, two U.S. men's national team soccer players received hate-filled messages after the team lost to Panama in the Copa América tournament.

Derek Hough & Hayley Erbert Thank Fans After Sharing Loss
On October 15, Erbert took to Instagram to share the couple’s devastating loss with fans. “There are some things in life that change you forever. For us, this is one of those things,” she wrote in the caption. “A chapter of love, loss, heartbreak, and everything in between.”
She noted, “This video is a tribute to a part of our story … Although we are so excited to be welcoming our rainbow baby so soon, we honor our baby that never made it earthside.”
On October 19, Hough and Erbert took to Instagram with a message of gratitude for all of their fans’ support.
“From the bottom of our hearts, we just want to say a huge thank you for all the beautiful messages and for sharing your own stories with us,” Hough wrote in the caption.
He continued, “When we decided to share this part of our journey, it was because hearing other people’s experiences during our own heartache truly helped us feel less alone.”
“Your kindness and openness mean the world, and if sharing our story brings a little bit of comfort or connection to anyone out there, that’s all we could hope for,” the “Dancing With the Stars” judge noted.
Hough added, “Wherever you are in your journey, hope is a powerful companion. You are never alone, and brighter days are ahead. We love you all so much.”
“We just wanted to come on here real fast and say thank you so much for all your beautiful and kind messages for the post we did the other day talking about our loss last year,” Hough began in the video.
Erbert noted, “We wanted to share that video this month specifically because it is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. And when we went through that experience, it truly helped so much to hear our close friends’ stories that they had also experienced the same thing. So we just wanted to share and hope that it could help somebody along the way.”
She continued, “I really appreciate all of the messages and the comments of people sharing their stories with me, feeling that they now have the courage to be able to talk about their experience. And it’s been really beautiful how our community has just come together and supported one another.”
Hough recalled, “When Hayley and I found out, it was absolutely devastating. We were in tears, we were consoling each other. We were in our car, just really beyond devastated.”
Reaching out to friends and family helped the couple immensely, with Hough sharing, “They had been really supportive and shared their own stories, and it really felt like in a moment of absolute despair and heartbreak, it felt like a warm blanket. It felt like a feeling of we’re not alone and realizing how common it actually is. I mean, we had no idea, honestly.”
After Hough noted the emotions involved in processing a loss, Erbert shared, “It feels isolating. You feel isolated when you’re going through something like that. But knowing that it’s so common and having people talk to you about their experience truly feels like you’re a little less alone.”
Hough added, “It doesn’t take away the heartbreak … but we hope that by sharing, we’re able to bring maybe a little bit of comfort, or a little bit of connection and something that we can relate to and connect with, even with the pain. And encourage and give you some hope and some love on the other side.”
“Just know we feel you, we love you and we support you,” the “DWTS” judge added.
Hough and Erbert’s fans flooded the comments section to thank them for sharing their story and helping others.
“I had eight years of fertility issues before having our rainbow baby,” one fan wrote. “I can’t wait for you to hold your own rainbow baby, there are no words to describe the healing that follows.”
Another fan noted, “Hayley and Derek, you are an extraordinary couple. You have had so many challenges the last few years. You have handled all with unbelievable strength, positivity, class, and true grace. The love you share is so powerful that we can feel it in your posts. Thank you for sharing so much and being so inspirational.”
One fan commented, “You two have tackled so much in a short time. Your strength and love for one another is so evident. Keep sharing. You don’t know how many you’re helping!”
