DWTS Pro Surprise Has Fans Buzzing Ahead of Season 34 Reveal

The upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars” has fans buzzing, even before it has started. The pros are already hitting the studio, and some of the sightings are causing a bit of chaos. Specifically, the sighting of Gleb Savchenko has prompted a lot of buzz because he previously said he wouldn’t be on the new season.

Gleb Savchenko’s DWTS Status Has Seemingly Changed

On August 22, show insider Kristyn Burtt took to TikTok to share the scoop on what she described as a “secret surprise twist.” She added, “You can be in and then out, you can be out and then in.”

Burtt continued, “Yes, that is the official announcement that Gleb Savchenko is on the pro roster for season 34 of ‘Dancing with the Stars.'”

As the photos of the disguised pros arriving and departing the studio emerged, Savchenko appeared to be among his colleagues. Specifically, he seemed to be with fellow pro Brandon Armstrong, whom Burtt previously confirmed would be on season 34.

The reason that Savchenko’s presence was surprising was that he himself suggested in the comments of a TikTok video he posted on August 9 that he’d been dropped from the show. In addition, Burtt confirmed that to be the case on August 11.

However, long-time “Dancing with the Stars” fans know that casting can change quickly with the series as celebrities sign on or, sometimes, drop out at the last minute.

Most of the Season 34 DWTS Pro Cast Seems Set

Burtt has previously confirmed much of the season 34 “Dancing with the Stars” pro roster, although she noted it is still somewhat fluid.

In addition to Savchenko and Armstrong returning, Burtt’s spoilers indicate that Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy are back, as are Ezra Sosa, Alan Bersten, Mark Ballas, Witney Carson, Daniella Karagach, Britt Stewart, Rylee Arnold, and Emma Slater.

She revealed that a new pro named Jan Ravnik would be added to the male slate of pros, as well, and it seemed that Pasha Pashkov had been spotted with the other “Dancing with the Stars” pros at the studio. However, it does not seem that Burtt has confirmed Pashkov for season 34.

One former pro who does not seem to be in the mix of things at this stage is Sasha Farber, who partnered with Jenn Tran in season 33. Veteran pro Peta Murgatroyd also does not seem to be returning.

ABC will formally announce the full cast of celebrities and professional dancers for season 34 on September 3. The fall season premieres on September 16.
