Cowboys Lose Key Offensive Line Starter Cooper Beebe for 6-8 Weeks
It’s been no secret that the strength for the Dallas Cowboys in 2025 is their offense and, if we want to get specific, it’s been the offensive line.
One key piece of that is going to be missing for the next few months — at least — after starting center Cooper Beebe was ruled out for 6-8 week with a high ankle sprain.
“Cowboys center Cooper Beebe, a key part of their stellar O-line, is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, sources say,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport wrote on his official X account on September 15. “He’s almost certainly headed to Injured Reserve, but should be back in the second half of the season.”
Beebe started 16 games as a rookie in 2024 and started the first 2 games of the 2025 season before his injury. Fourth year veteran Brock Hoffman is listed as Beebe’s backup on the Cowboys depth chart.
Hoffman has been with the Cowboys since making the team as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech in 2022. He’s played 37 consecutive regular season games for the Cowboys dating back to 2023, with 9 career starts.
Beebe Called ‘Building Block’ For Cowboys
While Dallas has drafted offensive linemen in the first round 3 of the last 4 years, it’s Beebe, a 2024 third round pick (No. 73 overall), who might be the best of the bunch.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton called Beebe, 6-foot-4 and 335 pounds, the franchise’s most promising “Building Block” after his standout rookie campaign.
Beebe is in the second season of a 4-yer, $5.93 million rookie contract.
“Over the past several years, the Dallas Cowboys have seen multiple starters at center, a once-stable position when Travis Frederick lined up in that spot,” Moton wrote on July 5. “Following a few years with Joe Looney and Tyler Biadasz, Cooper Beebe has shown signs he can be the long-term starter in the middle of the offensive line.”
According to Pro Football Focus, Beebe ranked 20th out of 64 eligible NFL centers in 2024 with a 65.4 overall grade. He was also one of 3 talented rookie centers who started around the NFL in 2024 alongside Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier and Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Graham Barton.
For the sickos (like us) who like to focus on the offensive line while watching games, losing Beebe also takes away one of the more thrilling interior OL combos in the NFL with Beebe alongside Dallas guards Tyler Booker and Tyler Smith.
One Of Kansas State’s All-Time Greats
Beebe left Kansas State as one of the greatest offensive linemen in Big 12 history. Playing guard, he was a 3-time All-Big 12 pick, 2-time All-American and 2-time Big 12 Offensive Linemen of the Year in 2022 and 2023.
At the NFL scouting combine, Beebe ran the 40-yard dash in 5.03 seconds — pretty much blazing speed for someone his size and playing his position.
“Wide-bodied guard who has been a model of consistency over the last four years, dialing in a very firm brand of football,” NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein wrote in his pre-draft evaluation. ” … Beebe’s experience, girth and drive-blocking talent should make him a long-time starter who can step in right away.”
Steelers, Bret Michaels Team Up to Provide Free Tickets for Fans Battling Cancer

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced a moving new partnership with legendary rock singer Bret Michaels, the frontman of Poison and a proud Pennsylvania native, to support some of their most courageous fans.
As part of the agreement, the Steelers and Michaels will sponsor free tickets for all home games at Acrisure Stadium for fans currently battling cancer. The initiative ensures that loyal members of Steelers Nation fighting through illness can still experience the team they love in person.
In return, Bret Michaels has pledged to perform free of charge at Acrisure Stadium whenever the team requests, bringing his rock anthems to fire up both the crowd and the players.
“Pittsburgh and the Steelers have always been a part of me,” Michaels said in a statement. “If my music and the team’s spirit can bring strength and hope to those fighting cancer, I’ll show up every time.”
Team president Art Rooney II praised the collaboration, calling it “a reflection of what the Steelers stand for — family, loyalty, and community.”
The announcement immediately struck a chord across Steelers Nation, with fans praising the initiative for turning football and music into a force for good. Families already shared stories online of what it will mean for loved ones to sit in the stands during their toughest battles.
For a city built on resilience, the image of cancer warriors waving Terrible Towels at Acrisure Stadium will now carry an even deeper meaning. And with Bret Michaels’ voice ringing out, Steelers Nation’s roar promises to be louder — and prouder — than ever.
