Browns coach might need a new stomach after what Vikings did to him
Led by defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, the Cleveland Browns managed to hold the Minnesota Vikings to just 14 points in the first 57 minutes of the Week 5 matchup between the two teams in London, England, last Sunday.
But in the final three minutes of the contest, the Vikings offense put together a 10-play, 80-yard drive that resulted in Minnesota wide receiver Jordan Addison catching the eventual game-winning 12-yard touchdown pass. Unsurprisingly, it's been a tough loss for the Browns to get over, specifically Schwartz.
When talking with the local Cleveland media on Thursday, the veteran defensive coordinator opened up about his feelings from losing to the Vikings in such brutal fashion.
"I don't think I've been able to keep any food down since we gave up that touchdown.
When you get the lead in the fourth quarter, [the] hallmark of a great defense is [that] you close the game out, and we failed in that regard."
Minnesota Vikings literally made Cleveland Browns coach sick to his stomach after Week 5 win
To Schwartz's credit, the Browns' defense put up a great fight in Week 5. But in the end, it was Minnesota head coach Kevin O'Connell and his offense who emerged out of the battle in London with a victory.
Compared to the rest of Cleveland's opponents this season, an argument can be made that no team's offense has had more success than the Vikings in Week 5.
Against a Browns defense that is regarded by some as the best defensive unit in the NFL this year, Minnesota was able to put together touchdown drives of 82, 71, and 80 yards last Sunday. In their previous four games, Cleveland's defense had only given up one touchdown drive of 70 yards or more.
The Vikings had plenty of reasons to crumble when presented with the challenge of facing the Browns' defense in Week 5. Instead, Minnesota dove in headfirst and captured a much-needed win that has the team feeling good five games into their 2025 season.
Nohl Williams Shatters Doubts: "They Think I’m Not Good Enough? I’ll PROVE Them Wrong!"

Nohl Williams, the promising cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, is no stranger to adversity. As a rookie, Williams faced skepticism from critics who questioned whether he could live up to the expectations of playing in the NFL, let alone becoming a key player for the Chiefs' defense. But Williams has always had one thing in mind: proving everyone wrong.
"They think I’m not good enough? They were wrong! I won’t let one game determine my worth. I know what I’m capable of, and I’m going to keep fighting to show I deserve this spot,"
After being drafted in the later rounds, Williams had to earn every moment on the field. He wasn’t handed a starting job—he worked tirelessly to get there. Throughout the season, he showcased his ability, taking on top-tier wide receivers and excelling in coverage. Despite this, the Chiefs’ coaching staff made the tough decision to limit his time on the field during some key matchups.
But Williams is not one to be disheartened by setbacks. He has consistently maintained his focus, using criticism and doubt as fuel to keep pushing forward. He has been putting in the work both in practice and mentally, sharpening his skills and preparing for every opportunity to prove his worth.
Despite facing reduced snaps, Williams is confident in his abilities and is determined to break through. "One bad game or one decision by the coaches isn’t going to define who I am,"
Williams has shown time and again that he is not afraid of competition. The Chiefs have a deep defensive backfield, but Williams is determined to carve out his place. His resilience and determination to succeed in the NFL mirror the values of the Chiefs’ defensive philosophy.
His mindset is clear: "I’m not here to sit back and wait for opportunities—I’m here to create them." And with each passing week, Williams is making a strong case for why he should be a key contributor for Kansas City. Whether it’s stepping in during critical moments or providing depth when needed, Williams has demonstrated he is ready for whatever the team requires.
As the Chiefs prepare for their next games, Williams remains laser-focused, eager to show his coaches, teammates, and fans that he has what it takes to thrive in the NFL. With a never-back-down attitude and an unwavering belief in himself, Nohl Williams is not just trying to make the team—he’s here to make an impact.
