BREAKING: Seattle Seahawks Owner Jody Allen Calls for NFL to Cancel Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance
Seattle, WA – October 17, 2025 – In an unexpected move that has sent shockwaves throughout the NFL community, Seattle Seahawks owner Jody Allen is publicly demanding that the NFL cancel Bad Bunny’s scheduled performance for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Allen’s criticism of the NFL’s choice to feature the reggaeton star comes amid growing concerns from traditional fans about the direction of the sport’s entertainment.
Allen, who has overseen the Seahawks since inheriting the team in 2018, voiced her frustration with the league’s decision in a rare public statement. Known for her strong commitment to both the football team and the city of Seattle, Allen expressed that the Super Bowl halftime show should reflect the values and cultural heritage of American football.
“The Super Bowl is the most significant moment in American sports, and its halftime show should resonate with the traditions and passions of the NFL’s fanbase,” Allen said. “Bad Bunny, while undeniably successful, is not the right choice for an event that represents the heart of American football. The NFL must do better.”
Allen’s comments have sparked a heated debate, with some fans rallying behind the Seahawks owner’s stance. “The Super Bowl is an American tradition, and the halftime show should reflect that. Bad Bunny may be a global sensation, but he doesn’t align with the values that football represents,” said a Seattle-based Seahawks supporter.
However, Allen’s call for cancellation has also drawn significant backlash, particularly from those who believe the NFL should embrace a more global and diverse approach to entertainment. “This is exactly the kind of thinking that’s holding the NFL back,” said entertainment analyst Carla Ramirez. “Football is a global sport, and artists like Bad Bunny are helping the NFL tap into a whole new audience. It’s time to evolve.”
The controversy over Bad Bunny’s performance highlights the ongoing cultural shift within the NFL, where the league is increasingly trying to connect with younger, more diverse fans. In recent years, Super Bowl halftime shows have featured artists from a wide array of genres, from Shakira and Jennifer Lopez to The Weeknd, pushing the boundaries of what is traditionally expected at such a high-profile event.
“This is not just about the music—it’s about the NFL recognizing its role in global entertainment,” said sports columnist John Miller. “Bad Bunny isn’t just popular in the Latin community; he’s one of the biggest stars in the world, and that’s something the NFL can’t afford to ignore.”
As the NFL continues to navigate this controversy, all eyes will be on how the league responds to Jody Allen’s comments and whether they influence future decisions regarding the Super Bowl halftime show. With the 2026 Super Bowl on the horizon, it seems that this debate is only just beginning.

The Bold and the Beautiful's Daily YAPP Recap, August 13: With Sheila Eight Toes and Nozawa Power, what could go wrong?

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful
What Happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful today, Li and Sheila formed the grandmother chapter of the Mutual Admiration Society. After praising one another for Luna waking up, Li didn’t see a point in doing any tests or taking her vitals…again. Instead, she thought it would be best if the first conversation Luna had was a recap of how she shot three people, including her beloved granny. Luna showed us something we’d never seen before: sincere horror at her actions. “You’re upsetting her,” Li said as she quickly blamed Sheila for following her instructions. But Sheila was telling her favorite story, how she lost another toe. Undeterred by reading the room, she whipped out her foot for a visual. And that was when we saw it…Sheila Eight Toes on display yet again, with her oddly positive attitude about not being able to wear flip flops ever again. Li rolled her eyes, Luna looked traumatized, and Sheila was too busy being delighted by her latest digit-removing experience that she couldn’t care less. If there’s one thing we’ll get with the repeat of Li saving a descendant, it’s a pretty humorous scenes of Li and Sheila in the 2025 version of The Odd Couple.
