BREAKING: Cowboys Rookie RB RECEIVES SHOCKINGLY GOOD NEWS From OC Klayton Adams – Could This Be The Game-Changer for Dallas?
Last week, Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer sat down for an interview on a local Dallas radio station. He spoke about rookie RB Jaydon Blue, the progress he’s made since his injury, and what they’re looking for from him moving forward. At the time, Blue had been inactive for all three of the Cowboys‘ games, and he was again inactive in Week 4 against the Packers.
In that interview, Schottenheimer said that Blue was practicing well and stacking good weeks, and the only reason he hadn’t been made active on game day yet was the need for more bodies on defense due to mounting injuries on that side of the ball.
On Thursday, Cowboys offensive coordinator Klayton Adams answered a question about Blue during his weekly press conference, reinforcing what Schottenheimer had said the week prior.
“Yeah, I would echo Coach [Schottenheimer]’s sentiments on that,” Adams said. “In fact, I’ve had that conversation with him in the past, man. ‘You’re doing really well, it’s gonna be really more about opportunity here than it is [you]. You’re not being punished or anything like that.'”
“And so he has continued to keep his head down and work hard, and at some point here he’ll get out there, and I expect him to play well and do special things when he does.”
Dallas Cowboys RB Jaydon Blue Might Be Needed in Week 5

The Cowboys plays the Jets in Week 5, and it stands to reason that Blue could be activated for the first time this season. Starting RB Javonte Williams has been fantastically productive, and he takes the bulk of the snaps and work at running back. His backup, Miles Sanders, is the only other traditional running back to get snaps for the Cowboys this season.
But Sanders suffered a knee injury against the Packers, forcing the Cowboys to play fullback Hunter Luepke at halfback whenever Williams needed a breather. Sanders’ game status for Week 5 is up in the air, so Blue may be needed as Williams’ backup this week.
If so, the coaching staff clearly believes in him. Blue’s speed could be a jolt of explosiveness for this Cowboys offense, something they could use. If nothing else, it’s an opportunity for the fifth-round rookie out of Texas to make an impact on the field.
The Dallas Cowboys Need to Start Stacking Wins
Managing to get a tie out of that massive Sunday night game against the Packers is closer to a win for Dallas than it is for Green Bay, but at 1-2-1, the Cowboys need to start getting some wins if they want to return to the playoffs this year.
The Cowboys have a stretch of very winnable games upcoming before their schedule stiffens. Over the next seven weeks, the Cowboys play the Jets, Panthers, Commanders, Broncos, Cardinals, and Raiders, with their bye week coming between the Cardinals and Raiders games. Going 4-2 in that stretch would be huge for Dallas, especially considering what they have on the schedule after that.
Starting in late November, the Cowboys play the Eagles, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings, Chargers, Commanders, and Giants. If Dallas wants to stack wins, now is time.
Colts’ Michael Pittman Jr lands on injury report ahead of Week 5

The Indianapolis Colts listed wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice with a hamstring injury as the team released its Week 5 injury report.
The update comes as the Colts prepare to host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. Pittman, who has been a central piece of Indianapolis’ offense, appeared on the report after logging partial work during the week.
Through four games, Pittman has recorded 21 receptions for 234 yards and three touchdowns. He has averaged 11.1 yards per catch while helping lead the Colts to a 3-1 record. His production has provided quarterback Daniel Jones with a reliable target in the passing game, particularly in red-zone situations.
Colts monitor Michael Pittman Jr.’s hamstring as Raiders matchup looms in Week 5

Pittman contributed in the team’s Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, finishing with five receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. Despite his efforts, the Colts dropped the game 27-20, snapping their early-season momentum.
The Week 5 meeting against the Raiders presents an opportunity for Indianapolis to regroup. Las Vegas enters the contest with a 1-3 record and a three-game losing streak. The Raiders suffered a 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 4 after having a potential game-winning field goal attempt blocked.
Indianapolis will monitor Pittman’s status closely as game day approaches. A hamstring issue could impact his availability and workload, with the Colts aiming to keep one of their top offensive playmakers on the field.
Pittman’s presence remains significant for an Indianapolis team seeking to avoid back-to-back defeats and maintain atop the AFC South standings.
