Baltimore Ravens Expected To Part Ways With $104 Million RB Derrick Henry. One rumored scenario? A return to the Tennessee Titans, potentially reuniting Henry with familiar faces
Posted October 20, 2025
Something feels off in Baltimore. The Ravens started this season dreaming about confetti and Lombardi Trophies. Five weeks later, they’re sitting at 1-4, staring at the bottom of the AFC North. Suddenly, the talk isn’t about the playoffs, it’s about survival.
And now, one of the biggest names in football could be on the move. Derrick Henry, the Ravens’ $104 million man and one of the greatest running backs of his generation, might not finish the season in the same jersey.
According to Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox, the team could soon explore trade options for the 31-year-old All-Pro.
Knox, as usual, is quite clear. “Since gashing the Buffalo Bills for 169 yards in Week 1, Henry has tallied 50 or fewer rushing yards in every game,”
he wrote. The struggles have sparked concern that Baltimore’s offense isn’t built to maximize Henry’s power game, and the frustration is starting to show.
During the Week 3 loss to Detroit, cameras even caught a heated sideline moment that involved Henry.
Henry’s Performance Is Slipping
The decline started fast. After his great Week 1 performance, Henry’s form has completely gone down. He’s lost a fumble in each of the Ravens’ first three games, including one that sealed a gut-wrenching collapse against Buffalo. That streak led to one of the most emotional moments of his career, an outburst on the bench after coughing up the ball in the Detroit loss.
Henry still runs with power, but the holes just aren’t there. The Ravens’ offensive line has struggled, and the offense has looked lost without rhythm. With Lamar Jackson now sidelined by a hamstring injury, which is another point of concern for the Ravens, defenses are daring Baltimore to win without its superstar quarterback.
Henry’s two-year, $30 million extension looked like a smart bet back in May. Now, it’s starting to feel like a burden. Knox suggested, “While benching Henry wouldn’t really solve any of Baltimore’s offensive issues, moving him ahead of the trade deadline could make a ton of sense”
for both sides, especially with contenders lining up for help at running back.
Henry’s record says it all, three-time All-Pro, 2020 Offensive Player of the Year, and one of the few to rush over 2,000 yards in a season. But despite all these, Baltimore’s season could already be slipping away.
If the Ravens are really up for something, the Henry era in Baltimore could end just as quickly as it began.
BREAKING: Chargers Defense No Match for Taylor: Herbert’s Jaw-Dropping Response
In a high-octane clash between two playoff hopefuls, the Indianapolis Colts secured a hard-fought 38–24 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7. While the Chargers were left to lick their wounds, quarterback Justin Herbert was quick to turn the spotlight to Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who played a pivotal role in his team’s triumph.
Herbert, who threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns in a valiant effort for the Chargers, acknowledged Taylor’s dominant performance throughout the game. Despite the Chargers' defensive struggles, it was Taylor’s explosive running and game-changing plays that shifted the balance of the contest.
“Even though we came up short today, I have to give credit where it’s due,” Herbert said in his post-game remarks. “Jonathan Taylor is an incredible running back. He’s one of the toughest and most dynamic players I’ve faced. He found the end zone multiple times and really put his team on his back in crucial moments. It’s clear why he’s such a key part of the Colts’ offense.”
Taylor was undoubtedly the star of the show, rushing for 94 yards on 16 carries and scoring three touchdowns, including a back-breaking 19-yard run in the fourth quarter. His ability to grind out yards and deliver in the red zone was a major factor in the Colts’ ability to control the game’s tempo and keep the Chargers’ high-powered offense at bay.
Herbert, known for his poise and accuracy, did everything he could to keep the Chargers in the game. His passing attack was on point, connecting with wide receiver Oronde Gadsden II for a late fourth-quarter touchdown, but it was clear that the Chargers’ defense was simply overwhelmed by Taylor’s physicality and the Colts' overall balance on both sides of the ball.
While Taylor’s brilliance on the ground was front and center, the Colts' defense also played a significant role in the win. The Colts’ secondary, led by cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson, intercepted Herbert twice, helping to stall the Chargers' offensive momentum at key moments.
Despite the loss, Herbert’s respect for Taylor’s performance was evident, underscoring the mutual admiration between two of the league’s brightest young stars. “I’ll be the first to congratulate him on a well-deserved win today,” Herbert added.
For the Colts, the victory marks their third consecutive win, improving their record to 6–1 and solidifying their position at the top of the AFC standings. Meanwhile, the Chargers, now at 4–3, will need to regroup and address their defensive struggles before their next matchup.
As for Jonathan Taylor, his performance continues to cement his status as one of the NFL’s elite running backs. The Colts will look to ride his momentum into their next game against the Buffalo Bills, but for now, Taylor remains the focal point of a team that is gaining confidence with each victory.
