Alex Bregman, star third baseman for the New York Yankees, has addressed concerns about his health ahead of the crucial Wild Card Game 1, putting to rest fears that a late-season illness might affect his performance. Bregman reassured fans and teammates that he is fully prepared and ready to contribute on the field.
“The concerns are behind me,” Bregman said. “I feel good, and I’m focused on helping this team win. I’ve been doing everything I can to get ready, and now it’s time to perform. Nothing else matters right now except giving it my all for the Yankees.”
Bregman’s clarity comes after a period of uncertainty that had fans worried about his availability and readiness for postseason play. His comments reflect confidence and determination to lead his team in high-stakes competition.
Bregman’s Mindset: ‘It’s All About the Team’
Despite the personal challenges he faced late in the season, Bregman emphasized that the focus is squarely on the team’s goals. “It’s not about me—it’s about the team,” he said. “I’m ready to do whatever it takes to help us succeed. Every at-bat, every play, every moment counts. That’s my focus, and that’s what I’ll bring to the field.”

As the Yankees gear up for their Wild Card matchup, Bregman’s message to teammates and fans is clear: the team is prepared, and he is fully engaged. “We’ve worked hard to get here,” Bregman said. “I’m healthy, I’m ready, and we’re all ready to compete. The postseason is where it counts, and we’re going to give everything we’ve got.”
Bregman’s confidence and determination serve as a rallying point for the Yankees as they seek to advance in the playoffs and pursue their championship goals.
Travis Kelce Made a Surprise Appearance Before Chiefs-Ravens

The Kansas City Chiefs were in top form on Sunday, September 28, and pulled off a definitive win over the Baltimore Ravens, 37-20. For a game that was supposed to be close, the Chiefs left no question as to who was on top on Sunday, even though it did come with an unfortunate injury for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was on the field, of course, and his soon-to-be-wife Taylor Swift was apparently in the stands, although she kept a very low profile. Kelce had a solid game, too, with coach Andy Reid even giving him props after the game, saying, “I thought he played well in both the run and the pass game.” Reid added that he thought Kelce “looked strong all the way through. He’s in great shape right now. That’s the important part. He came back and trained hard and aggressive for this thing.”
But, what’s interesting is that just a few days earlier, Kelce made a special appearance at an event that’s special to him.
Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Makes Appearance at Special Event
Kelce’s annual Kelce Car Jam auto show took place Friday, September 26, at Knuckleheads in Kansas City. Ahead of the appearance, he talked it up on his New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason.
“The Kelce Car Jam is back, baby. It’s this Friday,” Kelce said. “I’m going to break out some new old schools that I got. We got a 1990 Jeep Wrangler with the wood grain on the side.”
He added, “We’ll have an amazing block-party style event that showcases some of the city’s top automobiles, including some of my personal (ones). There will be food, there will be drinks, there will be games and a whole lot of fun for everyone. There’s only a few tickets left, so get yours now. Proceeds benefit Eighty-Seven and Running, my foundation that helps out underserved youth in both the Kansas City area and back home in… the Cleveland surrounding area, two cities that I absolutely love. So, please show up. It’s going to be a blast.”
So, it worked, and the place was packed on Friday. In a new video that has surfaced, Kelce thanked the audience for their support and how it benefits his Eighty-Seven and Running foundation, which benefits kids in Kansas City and Cleveland, where Kelce was raised.
Travis Kelce’s Mom Shows Up to Support Her Son
Kelce’s mom was there, too. At the event, he said, “I appreciate the support you guys bring. The stuff that they are doing over there at the Ignition Lab and Operation Breakthrough never (ceases) to amaze me more and more every single year. Oh … hey mom … it’s always fun when you’re just talking in a crowd and you see your mom back there.”
TikTok user Natalie Dutton posted a video of the special exchange, too. So, those at the event were treated to an appearance by not only Kelce but him mom, which is extra sweet.
It’s great to see Kelce giving back, even just a few days before a big game. It didn’t hurt his performance on Sunday, to boot.
