Season 15 of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has finished filming, and the ladies have parted ways to enjoy some downtime. For OG Kyle Richards, that means escaping LA for the beautiful mountains of Aspen, Colorado. The mom of four took off with a few of her close friends to enjoy her favorite time of year, and the most colorful season in the mountains.
On Sept. 25, 2025, Kyle shared some of her beautiful adventures with her Instagram followers.
Aspen Is One of Kyle’s Favorite Destinations

Fans of RHOBH already know how much Kyle loves Aspen, as it has been a destination for the cast on a few occasions. Those trips have usually been loaded with drama. This time around, the reality star was really able to soak up her peaceful surroundings.
Kyle captioned her Instagram post, “Season 15 is wrapped, my daughter’s wedding is over, and it was time to escape LA. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love trees. Yesterday my friends and I took a drive to see the changing of the leaves and it was honestly unbelievable. We barely spoke on the drive because we were in awe at the beauty. Fall is officially here. My favorite time of year.”
Could Kyle Leave LA Permanently?

While Kyle didn’t tag her Instagram carousel location, she did mention that she was spending her favorite time of year in Aspen during an Amazon livestream on Sept. 24, 2025.
During an interview with Us Weekly in October 2024, Kyle was asked about her 10-year plan. At the time, she admitted that leaving LA was something that was undoubtedly on her radar. She said that she expected to be “surrounded by a lot of dogs. I probably wouldn’t be living in L.A. full-time; I’d be in the mountains where there’s more nature — and not so much chaos!”
Kyle is currently still living in the same Encino home that she once shared with her ex, Mauricio Umansky. Her two youngest daughters, Sophia and Portia, still live at home with her.
Kyle Richards has had a rough few seasons on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Her marriage breaking up appears to have strained her friendships with her castmates, primarily because she wants to keep certain aspects of her life private. They continually point out that if you are on a reality show, then you are expected to share your life.
Can you see Kyle eventually leaving Southern California for a more private life?
