Green Bay Packers fans have been over the moon since Micah Parsons entered their lives on August 28. Sitting atop the latest 2025 Defensive Player of the Year betting odds, the superstar pass rusher has been as advertised for his new club. However, he also left a trail of destruction in his path from the Dallas Cowboys to Titletown.

Parsons' well-chronicled and unceremonious departure from Dallas created a void the Cowboys have been unable to even remotely fill -- until now. The team progressed toward counteracting the damage they've done upon shipping him to Green Bay by acquiring three-time reigning Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
The addition of Williams is undeniably massive for the Cowboys, both in the short and long term. Yet, they essentially needed to land him to save face, which speaks to how badly the Packers fleeced them in the still-stunning Parsons swap.

Packers Receive: Micah Parsons
Cowboys Reciever: R1 pick, Kenny Clark, Quinnen Williams.November 4, 2025
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has gone on the record to note how badly the Cowboys wanted veteran run-stuffer Kenny Clark in the Parsons deal. The one currently tangible asset of Dallas' desired return hasn't met expectations, to say the least, evidenced by Williams' arrival.
Dallas already having to bring in another interior defender reflects poorly on Clark. And it's not like the solution is just a band-aid; Williams is arguably the best in the business. The Cowboys are telling us with their actions that they're far from sold on the former.
Moreover, the Cowboys had to give up the better of their two 2027 first-round picks for Williams, which is potentially the one they previously got for Parsons. That's no small price to pay for accepting defeat on Clark.
In reality, trading for Williams presumably had little to do with Clark and more about a much-needed influx of talent and star power. Nevertheless, the Cowboys are effectively digging themselves out of a hole by creating a new one. The Dallas faithful may not think much of it and are just happy to welcome the latter, but Packers supporters are certainly taking notice.
Clark has amassed 21 tackles (four for loss), five quarterback hits, and 2.5 sacks across nine games in 2025. He has a 58.9 overall Pro Football Focus grade, which ranks 69th out of 124 qualified options at his position.
