RHOBH’s Garcelle Beauvais on Why She & Sutton Are Done for Good, Says Erika’s Exit Would Make Her Consider a Return, & Shares Biggest Regret, Plus If Oliver Still Works for LVP
Garcelle Beauvais offered an update on her relationship with Sutton Stracke while appearing on Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
As she also revealed which Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s potential exit would make her consider returning to the show, shared her biggest regret, and named the one cast member she’d connect with if they crossed paths, Garcelle, 58, reacted to Rachel Zoe, 54, joining the show, confirmed whether son Oliver Saunders, 34, still works for Lisa Vanderpump, 65, and weighed in on Denise Richards‘ messy divorce.
“Yes,” Garcelle replied on the October 23 episode of WWHL after being asked if her friendship with Sutton, 53, was over for good. “Not only [did she not] have my back [at the reunion]. She also, when she called me, never took accountability for it. And that hurt my feelings a lot.”
Looking back at their years-long friendship, Garcelle said she and Sutton were so close that her kids would call her.
“We were really close. I look back on [the friendship] fondly. We had some really good laughs. We were there for each other, mostly me there for her. But I don’t regret it. I don’t regret it,” she noted.
As for whose departure would make her consider rejoining RHOBH, Garcelle didn’t skip a beat.
“That’s a very good question. [Erika Jayne],” she replied.
Then, after noting that “Jax getting hurt on the show [was her] biggest regret,” Garcelle said that the one RHOBH star she’d reconnect with if she ran into them was “maybe” Kyle Richards, 56.
“Yeah. Maybe Kyle,” she shared.
Reflecting on her exit from the show, Garcelle said she “absolutely” knew at the reunion that her time on the series needed to come to an end before clarifying that the majority of her time on the show was “phenomenal” and “really fun.”
Regarding her recent reunion with Sutton’s former assistant, Avi Gabay, Garcelle said it was “awesome” to see him at the premiere of her new Lifetime film, Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie.
“I hadn’t seen him since we both left the show, and he’s great. It was really, really cool,” she admitted as Andy Cohen, 57, said Avi had “left [Sutton’s employ].”
“Okay,” Garcelle replied.
She was then asked if she knew Rachel or had any advice for her.
“I have met Rachel Zoe many, many times, and no, she’s good. She’s gonna handle it. She doesn’t need any advice,” Garcelle stated.
Also on the live broadcast, after confirming that Oliver is still working for Lisa at her Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas, saying that the restaurateur “wants to be [the] godmother of [his new] baby” and noting that Oliver “loves” his job, Garcelle confirmed she’s the “momager” of her 18-year-old son, Jaid Nilon.
“He is doing well, but we’re gonna finish this last year of high school, and then he’s going to come to New York,” she shared of his modeling aspirations.
Later, while appearing on the WWHL: After Show, Garcelle was asked if she’d spoken to Denise, 54, since the news broke of her divorce from Aaron Phypers, 53.
“I sent her a text just saying, ‘I love you and I support you.’ It’s really tough to watch,” she stated.

Fans knew that Garcelle was serious when she unfollowed the RHOBH cast on Instagram, including Sutton. However, Garcelle was still following Jennifer Tilly and Kathy Hilton, who were friends of the cast last season.
Unfortunately, fans who were rooting for a Garcelle and Sutton reconciliation may be doomed to disappointment.
Garcelle Beauvais found clarity with Sutton Stracke at her final RHOBH reunion
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen wanted to know about Garcelle’s status with Sutton. “Would you say your friendship with Sutton is completely over?” he asked. “Yes,” Garcelle replied as the audience gasped.
Andy asked, “Is that because she didn’t have your back that night at the reunion?” I mean, that would be the obvious reason, right? “Yeah. Not only she didn’t have my back, she also, when she called me, never took accountability for it,” Garcelle explained. “And that hurt my feelings a lot. We were really close.” The actress added, “My kids would call her.” This is so sad!
However, Garcelle seems grateful for her friendship with Sutton. “So, how do you look back on that friendship?” Andy asked. “I look back on it fondly. You know, we had some really good laughs,” Garcelle stated. “We were there for each other, mostly me there for her. But, umm, I don’t regret it. I don’t regret it.”
For her part, Sutton seemingly hoped that some time apart to heal and reflect would allow her to make amends with Garcelle. Apparently, that ship has sailed. I adored Garcelle and Sutton’s friendship, so I am hoping that, in the future, maybe they can reconcile.
