Mecole Hardman Talks Team Commitment: 'Football Is About Doing Whatever It Takes to Contribute'
Mecole Hardman, one of the NFL’s most dynamic wide receivers, has always been known for his speed and big-play ability. However, as he continues to grow both as a player and a leader, Hardman is putting more emphasis on his commitment to the team and doing whatever it takes to contribute—no matter the role. In a recent interview, Hardman opened up about his mindset, stating, "I’m just here to do my part and help my team win. Whether it's catching passes, blocking, or just being a leader in the locker room, I’ll give my best. Football is about doing whatever it takes to contribute, and I’m ready to do that."
These words reflect a deep sense of humility and team-first mentality that Hardman has developed over the years. While he has earned a reputation for his playmaking ability on the field, Hardman is now just as focused on his role off the field, including mentoring younger players and providing leadership in the locker room. His approach to football is about more than individual statistics—it’s about finding ways to help the team succeed in every situation.
Throughout his career, Hardman has shown versatility, contributing in a variety of ways for both the Kansas City Chiefs and his new team. Whether it's catching deep passes, returning kicks, or blocking for other players, Hardman understands that being a complete player goes beyond the flashy highlights. His willingness to step into whatever role is needed by the team is a testament to his dedication and professionalism.
"I’m not just focused on catching passes," Hardman said. "I know I have to do everything I can to help the team win. Whether it’s helping the running backs get to the second level with solid blocks or keeping the defense honest with my speed, I’m here for the team. I want to make sure that no matter what, I contribute to our success."
Hardman’s mentality is something that coaches and teammates have recognized and praised throughout his career. His ability to excel in multiple areas of the game—whether as a wide receiver, a special teams ace, or a leader in the locker room—makes him a valuable asset to any team. And as Hardman continues to evolve, his commitment to helping the team in any way he can will be a key factor in his long-term success.
The ability to put the team above individual accolades is something that the best players possess, and Hardman has proven time and again that he has that mindset. Whether or not he is catching a touchdown pass or throwing a key block, Hardman is always looking for ways to elevate the team and help them win games.
As the season progresses, Hardman’s willingness to do whatever it takes will only become more important for the success of his team. His selfless attitude, leadership, and dedication to the cause make him a perfect example of what it means to be a true team player in the NFL.
Steelers Star Zach Frazier Pops Up With Calf Injury Ahead Of Packers Game

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier has a calf injury that could limit him throughout the week. He popped up as a limited practice on Wednesday and battled through it with a leg sleeve. It is not expected to force him to miss Sunday’s game against the Packers.
Head coach Mike Tomlin hinted that multiple Steelers players could be limited early this week with injuries they suffered against the Bengals, but Frazier was the only one to pop up on the injury report. It is not believed to be serious, but if he did have to miss the game, it would be center Ryan McCollum starting.
Frazier missed two games in his rookie season with a high ankle sprain, but otherwise quickly became one of the best centers in all of football. He has done the same in his second year, becoming the stalwart of a young, improving offensive line for Pittsburgh.
So far, the Steelers have not dealt with any injuries along their offensive line, as they have put the same starting five players out there for every single game this season, but they were banged-up throughout the training camp process with multiple players missing time with ailments.
