Leo Chenal: "I Know What Dallas Needs—Stability, Discipline, and Determination on Defense. I'm Ready to Bring It!"
As the NFL season progresses, one player who could be a game-changer for the Dallas Cowboys is linebacker Leo Chenal. The former standout player is eyeing a possible move to the Cowboys, and he's already making it clear that he understands exactly what this defense needs to elevate to the next level.
"I know what Dallas needs—stability, discipline, and determination on defense. I've played in big games, and I’ll bring all of that to the Cowboys."
– Leo Chenal
Chenal’s statement shows his understanding of the Dallas defense’s current gaps and his confidence that he can help fill them. The Cowboys’ defense has been solid, but there are still areas that require improvement to take them from good to great. Chenal’s mentality—built on hard-hitting, efficient play and a high football IQ—could be the perfect addition to strengthen the defensive line and linebacker core.

A Defensive Leader with a Championship Mentality
Chenal brings more than just talent to the table—he brings leadership and a championship mentality. With a background of playing in high-pressure situations, including postseason games, he has the experience that the Cowboys could desperately use. His no-nonsense approach to defense is exactly what the Cowboys need to push for a deep playoff run.
“I’ve been in those high-stakes situations,” Chenal said. “I know what it takes to win on the biggest stage. And I want to bring that experience and mindset to Dallas, help anchor the defense, and make sure we finish the job.”
Chenal’s leadership on the field could help foster an environment of accountability and grit, which has been a hallmark of successful NFL defenses. His keen understanding of defensive play, paired with his relentless work ethic, gives him a unique ability to raise the level of his teammates’ play. The Cowboys, who are looking to solidify their defense and take it to the next level, would benefit from the tenacity and discipline that Chenal could provide.
Filling the Gaps: Stability, Discipline, and Determination
Chenal’s focus on stability, discipline, and determination is exactly what the Cowboys need to address some of their defensive inconsistencies. While Dallas has been a top contender defensively, the team has struggled at times to finish games and maintain a high level of execution, particularly against high-caliber offenses.
"I know how important it is to stay disciplined on every play. It's about knowing your job, executing it at a high level, and helping the entire defense stay on track," Chenal explained. His mindset is simple: play smart, stay disciplined, and don’t let up.
By adding Chenal to the mix, the Cowboys would not only gain a physical presence on the field, but also an intellectual one. Chenal’s approach to football is one that thrives on mental toughness and situational awareness, both key components to becoming a championship-caliber team.
The Perfect Fit for Dallas’ Defense
Chenal’s strengths align perfectly with what the Cowboys need: a steadying force in the linebacker position who can also make an impact as an enforcer. With the Cowboys’ current defensive struggles in certain areas, adding a player like Chenal could be just the spark that the defense needs to become dominant.
His commitment to improving each day, as well as his understanding of the system and his role within it, makes him a perfect fit for Dallas. With players like Micah Parsons
The Road to Success: A Championship Mindset
As the Cowboys continue to aim for their ultimate goal of a Super Bowl, adding players like Chenal who embody stability, discipline, and determination on defense could be the catalyst that propels them into the next echelon of championship contenders.
“I’m ready to bring that winning mentality to Dallas,” Chenal said. “We have a chance to do something special, and I’m here to contribute to that.”
With Chenal’s leadership and proven skills, the Cowboys’ defense could rise to new heights. He’s ready to bring everything he’s got to ensure the team’s success.

Leo Chenal’s defensive presence and mindset could be the missing piece that the Dallas Cowboys need to secure a championship in the coming seasons. With his readiness to step up and lead, the Cowboys are primed to take their defense—and their playoff aspirations—to new heights.
Ja'Marr Chase gives Bengals fans a special callback after witnessing one of the best highlights of Tee Higgins' career

Ja'Marr Chase is accustomed to scoring the most touchdowns for the Cincinnati Bengals, but there are ample times in which he gets to witness Tee Higgins put six points on the board. He saw it twice last Sunday in Cincinnati's loss to the Chicago Bears, but one of them stood out more than the other.

Higgins snatched a deep pass from quarterback Joe Flacco down the left sideline in front of Bears cornerback Nashon Wright. Higgins scampered into the end zone as Wright fell to the ground, which is also where Chase's jaw was upon seeing the play.
After the touchdown, Chase, who was mic'd up for the game, told the camera what Higgins is.
"Receiver 1," Chase exclaimed. "Not 1A."

This is effusive praise for Higgins, but it also carries a lot more meaning from Chase when considering what he said earlier this year.
Ja'Marr Chase delivers a callback seven months in the making
Chase and Higgins made headlines back in March when they signed massive contract extensions with the Bengals at the same time. Higgins had hired Chase's agent, Rocky Arceneaux, in order to combine forces and exercise leverage against the club to get a deal done.
Signing together led to a joint press conference afterwards, in which Higgins was asked about being a No. 2 receiver on the same team as Chase, who was paid significantly more to pair with his triple crown title. Chase didn't let Higgins answer before making sure the media referred to Higgins as not a No. 2, but something more.
"1A," Chase said.
