Kansas City Chiefs Named as Brian Robinson Jr. Landing Spot by NFL Reporter
The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the most talented rosters in the National Football League, evidenced by their five Super Bowl appearances in the previous six years. With the news of the Washington Commanders reportedly shopping running back Brian Robinson Jr, the defending AFC Champions could be in the mix.
One NFL reporter has placed them as a potential landing spot, but what makes the fit logical for the Kansas City Chiefs? Let’s take a closer look to figure this out.

USA Today’s NFL Trending Reporter Jacob Camenker posted an article about the top landing spots for Brian Robinson Jr and he listed the Kansas City Chiefs as a team that should be in the mix.
“The Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl last season despite Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt averaging 3.7 and 3.6 yards per carry, respectively, during the season. Pacheco might bounce back as he gets further removed from a broken leg, but adding Robinson as insurance wouldn’t be a bad move for the Chiefs. Robinson’s hard-nosed running style would fit the mold the Chiefs have sought in running backs in recent seasons. He’s also bigger than both Pacheco and Hunt and could help keep the more explosive Pacheco fresh as part of a rotation.”
Brian Johnson Jr. is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has a $3.6 million cap hit. He has 570 rushing attempts for 2,329 yards (4.1 yards per carry) with 15 rushing touchdowns as well as 65 receptions for 587 yards (9.0 yards per catch) with five receiving touchdowns in his three-year career thus far.
The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be looking to get an improvement with the running back position. Robinson would be another quality running back in the mix. Will the team make the move to improve their running back room?
