Is Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Dancer Jan Ravnik Joining ‘DWTS’? Why Fans Think So
Taylor Swift‘s backup dancers are staying booked and busy after The Eras Tour — but will one be making a play for the mirrorball trophy?
Swifties and Dancing With the Stars fans alike began to wonder whether Eras dancer Jan Ravnik could be joining the ABC ballroom dance competition for season 34 after a video of him dancing with DWTS pro Jenna Johnson made the rounds on social media.
In the clip, which was uploaded earlier this month, the twosome performed Ravnik’s original choreography to Kelly Clarkson‘s cover of the Billie Eilish hit “Happier Than Ever.”
“If the rumors of jan ravnik being a dwts pro are true, prepared to be SICK of me,” one fan tweeted as the chatter began to spread online.
Another user referenced the possibility of DWTS bringing back a Swift-themed round of the competition, writing, “The concept of Jan dancing to Lavender Haze during TS week of #dwts 🫨 @officialdwts prepare the ladder props!”
The complete DWTS cast will be revealed on September 3 before the season premieres later that month. A handful of celebrities have already been announced, with Robert Irwin, Alix Earle and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt expected to hit the ballroom this fall.
Ravnik often went viral while performing alongside Swift, 35, on her Eras Tour, which traveled the globe from March 2023 to December 2024. It’s not hard for Us to see why Ravnik caught fans’ attention in Swift’s sold-out stadiums — just look at those abs.
“I’m beyond grateful to be part of @taylorswift Eras Tour 🙏🏼❤️,” Ravnik wrote via Instagram after the first Eras Tour performance. “Still can’t put into words how I feel after yesterdays opening night! I never thought that small town boy from Slovenia could come so far, but here we are 🙋🏻♂️🥹 #erastour.”
When it was time to say goodbye after more than a year on the road, Ravnik was equally emotional. “I still can’t find the words to fully describe what I’m feeling. It’s like there’s this weight in my chest, a mix of gratitude, love and sadness, because saying ‘thank you’ just doesn’t seem enough,” he captioned an Instagram post in December 2024.
Ravnik said joining the tour felt like a dream come true. “I never imagined I’d be performing in front of sold out stadiums across the globe. Night after night, I got to share the stage with the most dedicated, creative, and passionate people. 🤍 From my fellow dancers who inspired me to be better every day, to the band and bgv, the crew, and everyone behind the scenes who made the magic happen,” he wrote. “A special thank you to [Mandy Moore] for her visionary choreography and guidance that pushed me to grow as an artist. And of course, thank you to Taylor for setting a bar so high it made every one of us rise to the challenge.”
The dancer thanked Swift for “changing my life,” adding, “We’ve created memories, we’ve shared laughs and tears along the way. I am not [the] same person I was 2 years ago and I can easily say these were the best years of my life.”
