Daniels completed one of the most impressive rookie seasons of all time and went on to win Rookie of the Year honors. He shattered franchise and league records throughout the season, and he can take the league by storm once again this season. Other players around the league already fear Daniels and know that he's dangerous with the ball in his hands.
"He's the modern NFL quarterback," Tyrann Mathieu said. "He's what everybody is looking for. A guy that you can use in different run designs and run concepts. And he's an amazing athlete. He has real speed, and once he finds a lane, it's like everybody's trying to get to the ball. He can hit a homerun."

The search for a true franchise quarterback that you can build your team around is a long, tiring search, but when you find one, it's the most rewarding thing in the NFL. The Commanders saw the benefits immediately as Daniels elevated the team around him and made it all the way to the NFC Championship game.
One NFC East rival had high praise for Daniels being clutch, and even compared him to one QB who is the standard of being the best in the league.

"Every moment when you needed him the most, he's come alive," Micah Parsons said about Daniels. "That's when he plays his best football. That's what you need from your QB and your best player. I think he has the potential to be a [Patrick] Mahomes caliber."
The rest of the NFL knows Daniels has all the potential to be one of the best in the league, and he can raise the mark this season by taking the Commanders to the Super Bowl.
