“He Will No Longer Be In Dallas” Cowboys Cut 23-Year-Old Star Following Devastating Loss To Panthers
The Dallas Cowboys suffered a gut wrenching defeat to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Not only did they lose on a game winning field goal as time expired, but they saw their former running back have a career day.
Following the loss, Dallas decided to cut ties with one of their wide receivers.
After Panthers’ devastating loss, Cowboys cut 23-year-old Jalen Moreno-Cropper

In preparation for the return of CeeDee Lamb and Kavontae Turpin, the Dallas Cowboys released wide receiver Jalen Moreno-Cropper:
While Moreno-Cropper was released, the Cowboys are reportedly hoping he passes through waivers and is able to return to the practice squad, per ESPN’s Todd Archer.
Moreno-Cropper, 24, has spent three years with the Cowboys after joining Dallas as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He’s spent a majority of his Dallas tenure on the team’s practice squad, but has appeared in a couple games at the NFL level.
Moreno-Cropper played this past Sunday in the team’s 30-27 loss to the Carolina Panthers. He fumbled a punt but was able to recover it. He’s appeared in a total of three games this season.
The Cowboys appear to be gearing up for the return of a few key offensive reinforcements.
Lamb, who’s been out since Week 3 with a high ankle sprain, returned to practice this week and could potentially return as soon as this Sunday against the Washington Commanders in a huge divisional battle.
Additionally, Turpin has missed the last two weeks with a foot injury, but also returned to practice this week, giving the Dallas offense two potential reinforcements for this weekend’s game.
As for Lamb, he had 16 catches for 222 yards through the first two weeks of the season before suffering his injury early in Week 3. He’s coming off four consecutive Pro Bowl seasons, and has been named an All-Pro in each of the last three seasons.
The Cowboys enter their Week 7 matchup against the 3-3 Commanders at 2-3-1. The Philadelphia Eagles currently sit in first place in the NFC East with a 4-2 record.
Bo Nix Calls for Mark Andrews: ‘We Need Him to Become an Unstoppable Team!’

In a bold and heartfelt statement, Bo Nix, the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, expressed his belief that to reach the next level, his team needs a game-changer like Mark Andrews. Andrews, the All-Pro tight end for the Baltimore Ravens, has long been one of the most consistent and impactful players in the NFL, and Nix is eager to see him join the Broncos to complete a team capable of dominating the league.
Each day, Nix wakes up with one question in mind: "What can I do to get better?" But, as he reflected on the road ahead, he came to a realization that would ultimately change the course of the season: to push further and reach new heights, the Broncos need players who can shift the game in an instant.
“Mark Andrews is not just a great player; he’s a true warrior with the ability to change the outcome of a game with just one play,” Nix said. His words resonate with a sense of urgency and determination, as Nix knows that having a tight end of Andrews’ caliber would take Denver’s offense to new levels of potency. “We need him on our team. If the Broncos can bring him in, I truly believe all of us together will become an unstoppable force,” he added, underscoring the powerful connection between quarterback and tight end.
Andrews has made a name for himself as one of the league's most reliable pass-catchers. His ability to make big plays when the team needs them most has earned him a spot among the elite in the NFL. For Nix, the prospect of working with a player like Andrews is an exciting one, with the potential to elevate both his personal performance and the Broncos’ offense as a whole.
As Nix continues to develop as a leader on the field, he understands the importance of surrounding himself with players who can not only make plays but also take the team to new heights. "I know what I’m capable of, but with players like Mark Andrews, we can truly build something special here in Denver," said Nix.
While the Broncos are in the midst of building a competitive roster, the addition of a star like Andrews would bring more than just athletic ability. It would provide leadership, experience, and a consistent threat in the passing game. The team would become more balanced, more dangerous, and, ultimately, a team that can compete with the best in the NFL.
With the trade deadline approaching, Broncos fans are hoping that the team can make a bold move to bring Andrews to Denver. If they succeed, it could be the missing piece to help Bo Nix and the Broncos reach the top of the AFC.
