Giants predicted to trade for $92 million receiver to help make up for absence of Malik Nabers
The New York Giants suffered a devastating loss in Week 7 to the Denver Broncos.
The Giants were up 26-8 in the fourth quarter and ended up losing 33-32. It was a disappointing result, but the team should still be encouraged by the performances from rookies Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo.
The young core would be even more exciting if Malik Nabers was healthy. Unfortunately, the star receiver suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season.

As a result, the Giants could really use some more help at receiver. Wan'Dale Robinson has stepped up in a big way, but nobody has stepped up behind him to provide support. Logan Ulrich of NFL Trade Rumors believes the Giants could try and target Calvin Ridley to help.
Ridley is stuck on the 1-6 Titans, and the team will undoubtedly be looking to ship out some veterans. The team already cut veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett on Tuesday after he requested his release.
Ulrich believes a 2027 third-rounder and a 2026 fifth-rounder would be enough to get Ridley and a 2026 sixth-round pick.
Regarding this potential deal, Ulrich offered the following:
Ridley hasn’t been as consistent as the Titans would have liked but he still went over 1,000 yards receiving in a tough overall offensive environment last year, and has flashed despite similar struggles around him this year. He’d be a significant upgrade for a Giants offense that has been relying on Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Jalin Hyatt and Beaux Collins for significant snaps in recent weeks.
As Ulrich mentioned, Ridley has been a 1,000-yard receiver before and he could easily replicate that production with a gunslinger like Dart. Ridley is almost certainly an upgrade over Humphrey, Hyatt, and Collins as well.
So far in 2025, Ridley has 16 catches for 290 yards. The Titans have struggled mightily on offense, though, and it's easy to imagine better production for the veteran in a different environment.
Interestingly, Ridley and Giants head coach Brian Daboll have some history together. Daboll was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Alabama in 2017, which was Ridley's final season in Tuscaloosa. Ridley caught 63 passes for 967 yards and five touchdowns in his lone season in a Daboll offense.
Ridley also wouldn't be a pure rental as the receiver is under contract through 2027.
Serena Williams backs Carlos Alcaraz to chase Novak Djokovic's record

Serena Williams lit up Oviedo with her golden presence at the Princess of Asturias Awards. One of the greatest players of all time was greeted by the sound of bagpipes and the warmth of the Spanish crowd.
Serena danced upon arrival and embraced the festive spirit before heading to a press conference. The American turned her attention to another star of our sport - Carlos Alcaraz.
Having followed the young gun's career closely, Williams expressed deep admiration for the 22-year-old Spaniard's achievements and mindset. She also made bold prediction and backed him to chase ultimate tennis glory!
Serena highlighted Carlos' remarkable potential and reminded that tennis barriers that once seemed impossible to break continue to fall. For the legend, Alcaraz embodies that same drive of greatness that once pushed Federer, Nadal and Djokovic to redefine the sport's limits.
Carlos' youth, resilience and the fierce competition around him can fuel an era of extraordinary success. Per Williams, only sky is the limit for the El Palmar native.
Serena backed the youngster to chase Novak Djokovic's record of 24 Major trophies. It has been so far so good for the Spaniard, who stands as the second-youngest player with six Major crowns after Bjorn Borg.
Alcaraz's next goal? The Career Grand Slam at 22 at the upcoming Australian Open! Williams is one of the game's ultimate champions, and her words carry the weight of experience.
There's also a genuine enthusiasm for a player poised to shape tennis history in the upcoming years. In Oviedo, Serena celebrated her legacy and the game's future, forging a golden collection between two eras of champions.
"Carlos is doing incredible things; I'm a huge fan of him. I always call him when he plays, to cheer him on. Can he equal or surpass Novak's 24 Major titles. At this point, anything is possible.
When Roger started, no one thought he could surpass Pete Sampras, and he did. Then Rafa did the same, and then Novak. Carlos is very young, he has great rivals, but of course it's possible.
Records are there to be broken," Serena Williams said.
