Eagles urged to do this one crucial thing before trade deadline
ESPN's Bill Barnwell believes Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles aren't done when it comes to adding pieces to their 2025 roster.
After trading for cornerback Michael Carter II from the New York Jets and sending them wide receiver John Metchie, adding in a late-round pick swap, Barnwell believes Philadelphia is still in the market for an edge rusher, an offensive Lineman, and another cornerback.

Eagles could still make some moves before the trade deadline
The trade for Carter II was a bit puzzling, as MC2 has been primarily used in the slot as a "nickel back," where 2024 draft pick Cooper DeJean has excelled. Vic Fangio has been on record saying he doesn't wish to move DeJean, which essentially is null after the acquisition of MC2.
The Eagles are almost certainly in the market for an EDGE as Jalyx Hunt and Josh Uche have only produced one sack each through the first half of the season, forcing Philadelphia to call upon the services of the freshly retired Brandon Graham for a possible "last dance". Trey Hendrickson (Bengals) and Chase Young (Saints) could be options; however, Hendrickson is in the market for a long-term deal as a 31-year-old defensive end who doesn't play the run, and Young is in the first year of a three-year, $51 million contract.
With so many injuries on the offensive line, the Eagles may look for an upgrade with Brett Toth filling in for Cam Jurgens, and right guard Tyler Steen settling into his starting role. While some may think Toth's performance wasn't "graded" the highest, it is worth noting that Philadelphia rushed for over 250 yards, seeing both Tank Bigsby and Saquon Barkley eclipse 100 yards rushing each.
Howie Roseman and the Eagles have time to make one final splash this season until rosters become finalized. With the trade deadline scheduled for 4:00 pm EST on November 4 and the Eagles on their bye week, the Eagles' front office will have plenty of time to evaluate the trade market further this week.
