Eagles’ Nick Sirianni was screaming expletives after beating Vikings
The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles looked like they were on their way to another dynamic season as they won their first four games of the year. However, that assessment changed dramatically as they lost back to back games to the Denver Broncos and New York Giants. Head coach Nick Sirianni knew his team was facing a huge test as it headed to U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 6 to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
If the Eagles had lost to Minnesota, it might have been difficult for the team to avoid a full-fledged panic. However, the Eagles jumped out in front early and never gave up the lead. The Eagles got back on the winning track as they outlasted the Vikings by a 28-22 score.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts had one of his best games for the Eagles as he completed 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards with 3 touchdown passes. Every time the Vikings got moderately close to the Eagles, Hurts responded with a big completion. His primary receiver was DeVonta Smith, who caught 9 passes for 183 yard and a touchdown.
Nobody was happier to see the Eagles win than Sirianni. He marched into the locker room with a mixture of relief and joy. As he turned the corner and heard the music emanating from the changing room, he yelled “turn that s*** up!”
Eagles defense stopped the Vikings in the red zone
The Vikings were coming off their bye week after playing back to back games in Europe. They were able to move the ball up and down the field against the Eagles, but they struggled to make those drives pay off with touchdowns.
The Vikings were in the red zone six times in the games, but they could only manage once touchdown when running back Jordan Mason scored late in the third quarter on a 1-yard run.
The Eagles held the Vikings to five field goals by PK Will Reichard on their other trips into the red zone. Second-year cornerback Cooper DeJean played a huge role for the Eagles with 8 tackles. He also had a key pass defense against superstar wideout Justin Jefferson when he deflected a sure TD pass out of the receiver’s grasp in the second quarter.
Bills waste no time with emergency roster decision inolving a fan-favorite ahead of Week 4 showdown vs. New Orleans Saints

The Buffalo Bills are getting some help for their upcoming Week 4 matchup. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver has been sidelined with an ankle injury sustained before Week 2 and has been ruled out of the upcoming Week 4 contest against the New Orleans Saints.
It's not just Oliver who has been ruled out for the Bills, as linebacker Matt Milano will also be unable to participate . Offensive lineman Spencer Brown and defensive end A.J. Epenesa are questionable for the matchup.
Ahead of the contest, Buffalo announced that it would be elevating defensive tackle Jordan Phillips from the practice squad. For the last two contests, the team has elevated defensive tackle Zion Logue. Had Logue been called up again, he would've needed to be added to the active roster before being available for a fourth game.
With plenty of depth on their practice squad, the Bills are calling up a familiar face in Phillips.
This is Phillips' third stint with the Bills, spending time with the team between 2018-2019 and again between 2022-2024. Throughout his 10-year career in the NFL, Phillips has started in 62 games with two interceptions, three forced fumbles, 25 passes defended, 24 sacks, 187 combined tackles, and 52 quarterback hits.
For the talented veteran, it was always going to be Buffalo. After spending some time with the Dallas Cowboys, he requested that the team let him go so that he could come back and play for Buffalo. Phillips spoke with the Buffalo News in February, giving the Bills Mafia plenty to be excited about.
"I told them if they call, I'll come back, man, but I don't think I can go anywhere else," Phillips said. "So whatever that means, I'm not retiring, but this is the only place that I'm going to play."
Phillips appeared in seven games for the Bills in 2024, totaling one interception with one pass defended, five combined tackles, and one QB hit. While not having a sack in the regular season, Phillips was able to bring down Patrick Mahomes during the AFC championship game.
A beloved player returns to the field in Buffalo. Head coach Sean McDermott encouraged the fan base to be loud, as this will be one of the final games in Highmark Stadium before moving across the street in 2026. Phillips being added to the active gameday roster will give the fan base a little extra to cheer for against the Saints.
