Detroit Lions Announce Major Jared Goff News After Beating Bengals
The Detroit Lions just won their fourth game of the 2025-26 season, and they’re officially on fire. The team was on the road on Sunday, October 5, and to paly a high-profile game against the Cincinnati Bengals on the road, and they pulled off a definitive win, 37-24. Even the Bengals have to hand it to the Lions for how well they played in a road game, saying that “quarterback Jake Browning pumped three fourth-quarter touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to catch the Lions‘ No. 1 scoring offense in Detroit’s 37-24 victory.”
Now that the game is over, the numbers are rolling in, and the Detroit Lions have some news on Jared Goff. It’s obvious that Goff has been a big piece of the puzzle to get the Lions to where they are today. Even without offensive coordinator Ben Johnson in the fold, Goff has shown that he’s a top tier quarterback and keeps pulling off wins this season, with the team now 4-1.
What’s wild is that after the Philadelphia Eagle and Buffalo Bills losses over the weekend, no NFL team is undefeated. So, the Lions are tied for the best record in the NFL.
Jared Goff News From the Detroit Lions
After the game, the Detroit Lions made a major, and positive, Goff announcement. The team’s PR account on X shared a post stating, “Lions QB Jared Goff has tied an NFL record by completing 70% of his passes in six-straight road games.” That’s super impressive.
It’s not uncommon for Goff to break records, but to see him tie a record that’s not just for the Lions franchise but for the NFL as a whole is extra special. The Lions have a winner in Goff, and not to jinx it, but this could be the year.
“Most underrated QB in football,” one commenter said in the post. “And people still claim that he’s a fraud,” another joked, noting that he’s obviously the real deal.
The Lions also shared that Goff was their “Player of the Game.” One follower commented, “Great win guys…keep biting them kneecaps.” Another said, “When teamwork comes together with grit, anything is possible.”
Last season, Goff had a career-best 72.4% completion rate. So, he’s still on fire. During Sunday’s game, he had 19-of-23 completed passes (82.6%) for 258 yards, three TDs and no interceptions. It was a clean game.
Jared Goff is Finally Getting Attention
It’s about time that Goff gets some attention. In the NFL’s Week 5 power rankings, out on Tuesday, September 30, and Eric Edholm has the Lions at No. 3, and Goff is a big part of that.
“Detroit was not prolific offensively against Cleveland, but no one has been this season,” Edholm states in the piece. Still, this is the second time in four games where the Lions have been kept somewhat grounded on offense, even if they’ve taken good care of the football. Committing five offensive penalties was out of character, and Detroit’s still trying to hone the connection between Jared Goff and Jameson Williams.”
It would be great to see more connections between Goff and Williams, as he mentions, but a win is a win, and we’ll take it. The Detroit Lions are roaring, and the NFL is listening.
Seahawks All-Pro WR Ready Despite Limited Preseason

The preseason is the time when players on the fringe of the roster try to make the team, and others try to solidify their place on the depth chart. For other players, the preseason is a more serene experience. One of those players who applies to this category is Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp. The former All-Pro receiver signed with Seattle in the offseason on a three-year, $45 million deal, so his spot on the team is secure. Also, entering his ninth year, Kupp is more than secure in his preparation for the regular season.
Seven snaps were all that was necessary for Kupp this preseason, and it was a successful drive that resulted in a touchdown. Kupp has never been a big fan of playing in preseason games, but he was happy he got in and out, as he expressed to
“That was my second or third preseason game ever,” Kupp said on Tuesday. “I’m biased against preseason games, but we did it. We got in and out of there, and it was for a touchdown
Kupp is eager to start the regular season and show he can once again be the Super Bowl MVP receiver he once was.
Returning To Form
Cooper Kupp, for the first time in his career,
Since 2021, Kupp has not put up a 1,000-yard season. He also hasn’t started more than 12 games since then. Kupp is hoping his Seahawks tenure brings not only a change of scenery, but a change of fortune as well. In the meantime, Kupp is excited to go through the process of learning a new offense, as he told
“It’s been a long time since I learned a new offense, a long time since I sat in a meeting and had to put a face on the board, and
On top of learning a new offense, Kupp is trying to build chemistry with his new quarterback.
Building Chemistry with Sam Darnold
Cooper Kupp isn’t the only new face in Seattle this year.
Darnold and Kupp worked on their chemistry early in the offseason. Kupp had incredible chemistry with his former quarterback, Matthew Stafford, but
Darnold, in an interview with RG.org, discussed his growing relationship with Kupp.
“We’ve been out for the last two weeks or so, Coop has been great,” says Darnold in a one-on-one interview with RG about Kupp. “He’s such a hard worker. Obviously,
Kupp’s meticulous work ethic is a part of the reason he has rarely needed the preseason to get ready for the regular season, and why
