Dallas Cowboys Sign Super Bowl Champion Amid CeeDee Lamb Injury
George Pickens had his best game in a Dallas Cowboys uniform on Sunday as he helped his team put 40 points on the board against the Green Bay Packers. The high-scoring game still ended with a 40-40 tie after overtime, but it does little to take away from Pickens’ big performance.
The 24-year-old wide receiver, who joined the Cowboys in the offseason via a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers, caught eight passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Pickens now has four TDs to his name in his first four games for Dallas.
Pickens’ strong start has been crucial for the Cowboys, who are dealing with multiple injuries on offense. Their wideout depth, in particular, has been problematic with CeeDee Lamb sitting out multiple weeks due to a high ankle sprain.
The All-Pro WR suffered the injury in Dallas’ Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears. Lamb is expected to miss extended time, but the fact that the Cowboys have not placed him on injured reserve means that they continue to hold out hope for the imminent return of their best pass-catcher.
Apart from Lamb, third-year WR Jonathan Mingo has also been sidelined by a PCL injury sustained during the offseason and currently has no firm timetable for his return.
In an attempt to shore up their options at wide receiver, the Cowboys announced on Tuesday that they have signed Super Bowl-winning wideout Paris Campbell to the practice squad.
Campbell, who won a championship with the Philadelphia Eagles last season, returns to Dallas after being waived by the team earlier this season. The former Ohio State standout signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys during the offseason but was waived after being placed on the IR with a knee injury.
Campbell has yet to make his Cowboys debut, but he could now get his chance now that he’s back in the lineup, albeit with the practice squad. Depending on how things shake out, the 28-year-old could potentially see himself elevated to a game-day roster. There is obviously no guarantee, though.
A roster spot opened for Dallas this week after the Indianapolis Colts poached linebacker Buddy Johnson. Instead of signing an outright replacement for the fourth-round LB, the Cowboys decided to give the open spot to Campbell to address a more glaring roster need.
Dallas, who currently has a 1-2-1 record to start the season, is back in action on Sunday in a road matchup against the winless New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
Browns Add Malachi Corley and Gage Larvadain to Active Roster After Cedric Tillman Injury

The Cleveland Browns made a series of roster moves Tuesday, including signing wide receivers Malachi Corley
Correspondingly, wide receiver Cedric Tillman was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, sidelining him for at least the next four games. Tillman, 25, had 11 catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns through the first four weeks before exiting early in Sunday’s
The Browns dropped to 1-3 and will play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday (9:30 a.m. ET) at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Preseason Star Joins Browns’ Active Roster
Larvadain is a familiar face in Cleveland. An undrafted free agent from South Carolina, Larvadain made the Browns’ initial 53-man roster after a standout preseason in which he tied for the team lead in receptions (nine) and receiving yards (94) on 17 targets.
Larvadain was waived following Week 1 but opted to stay with organization as a member of the practice squad. With Tillman and DeAndre Carter (knee) both landing on IR, it’s possible Larvadain makes his NFL debut Sunday against the 2-2
In one season at South Carolina, the 5-foot-8, 171-pound Larvadain had 19 catches for 223 yards and a touchdown in 13 games (nine starts). Prior to transferring there, he played at Southeastern Louisiana (2021-22) and Miami of Ohio (2023)
Browns Drop ‘YAC King’
Corley was a third-round pick (65th overall) by the New York Jets in 2024 and appeared in nine games as a rookie. The Western Kentucky product had three catches and 16 yards on nine targets.
He infamously dropped the ball prior to crossing the goal line in a game against the Houston Texans last October, costing himself a touchdown on his first NFL carry. The
The self-proclaimed “YAC King,” Corley was waived by the Jets on Aug. 26 as part of their final roster cuts. He had only an 8-yard reception in three preseason games, sealing his fate. The next day, Corley (5-11, 215) joined the Browns’ practice squad. He has yet to appear in a game this season
Browns Tweak Cornerback Room
The Browns also waived cornerback Cameron Mitchell. Additionally, they signed cornerback Ameer Speed to the practice squad.
The 6-3, 215-pound Speed is in his third season out of Michigan State. A 2023 sixth-round pick (214th overall), Speed has appeared in 15 NFL games with the
