Colts Urged To Trade For $54 Million Pass Rusher
The Indianapolis Colts’ success this season has been one of the biggest stories of the 2025 NFL season. Indy is entering Week 7 with a 5-1 record and are looking like Super Bowl contenders.
The offense has done it’s part this season by averaging 32.3 points per game this season, which is the highest in the league. On the defensive side of the ball, the Colts D has allowed the fourth lowest amount in the league through six games so far this season.
Indianapolis has sacked opposing quarterbacks 16 this, which is in the top half of the league. Despite being one of the better defenses this season, one NFL writer believes the Colts could add another piece to their defense.
Trade For Dolphins Pass Rusher?

The Indianapolis Colts have their fair share of injuries, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but that isn’t slowing them down.
CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin believes the Colts should trade for Miami Dolphins’ pass rusher Bradley Chubb to help the team after its great start.
“Raise your hand if you expected Indianapolis to be 5-1 atop the AFC South after six games. And yes, Daniel Jones is still running the show on offense,” Benjamin wrote.
“Why not strike while the iron is hot if you’re Colts brass and go all in on a prospective postseason push, attempting a Von Miller-like rental with Chubb, who’s been one of the few bright spots on the Miami Dolphins’ defense this year? He’s approaching 30 with an injury history, but he’s got the sack artistry to further elevate a Colts team that keeps winning ballgames by controlling and running the ball with great efficiency.”
Chubb is off to a hot start for Miami through six weeks. The pass rushers’ four sacks this season currently lead the 1-5 Dolphins.
If the Colts were to add Chubb to their defense, it could see their D-line be among the best in the NFL.
What Bradley Chubb In Indy Means

The Indianapolis Colts currently have two defensive ends who are tied for the most sacks on the team, with three each. Adding Bradley Chubb’s four sacks would put him at the top of the edge rusher list.
If the Miami Dolphins were to trade away Chubb, they would at least want someone who can replace him for the remainder of the season.
The Dolphins could trade the two-time Pro Bowler, who will earn a high AAV the next two seasons, and trade for a Colts defensive first-round pick.
Colts EDGE rusher Laiatu Latu has not seen a major improvement from his rookie season to his second, as he has only logged 1 sack so far this season.
If Indy would rather have a player who can give an immediate impact instead of waiting for the development of a former first-round selection, then swapping Chubb with Latu makes sense.
Steelers Eyeing Dominant Victory Against Bengals in Week 7

As the Pittsburgh Steelers gear up for their Week 7 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, there’s a palpable sense of confidence in the air. With a 4-1 record and a commanding lead in the AFC North, the Steelers are poised to extend their dominance on the road against a Bengals team struggling to find its rhythm. Pittsburgh enters this game as the favorite, with a strong defense and an offense led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
A Strong Start to the Season
The Steelers have been nothing short of impressive this season, with their defense playing a crucial role in their early success. The team ranks ninth in DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average), showcasing their ability to stifle opposing offenses and limit big plays. T.J. Watt, one of the NFL’s top pass rushers, has been a constant presence on the field, making life difficult for opposing quarterbacks. The addition of key defensive pieces, along with a relentless pursuit of the quarterback, has given Pittsburgh a competitive edge in every game they’ve played.
Offensively, Aaron Rodgers has looked rejuvenated in the Steel City. After years of success with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers brings his wealth of experience to a Steelers offense that has been steadily improving. His ability to make quick reads and deliver accurate passes has allowed the offense to put up respectable numbers. The key to Pittsburgh’s success has been the balance they’ve maintained between the run and passing game, which gives them the ability to attack defenses from multiple angles.
Bengals Struggling to Find Their Footing
In contrast, the Bengals have had a much tougher time finding consistency. With Joe Burrow out due to injury, the Bengals have turned to veteran Joe Flacco. While Flacco has had flashes of success, including two touchdown passes in the loss to the Green Bay Packers, he’s yet to recapture the form that made him a Super Bowl champion with the Baltimore Ravens. Cincinnati’s offense has struggled in recent weeks, and they’ll need to find a way to put together a complete game if they hope to challenge the Steelers.
The Bengals’ defense has also been a point of concern, with key injuries and inconsistent play allowing opponents to move the ball effectively. Despite a solid performance from their secondary, the Bengals have struggled to generate consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks, which could be a significant problem against a team like the Steelers, who boast an offensive line capable of protecting their quarterback.
What’s at Stake for Both Teams
The stakes are high for both teams heading into this game. For the Steelers, a victory would solidify their position at the top of the AFC North, keeping them in the driver’s seat for a playoff spot. They’re a team with championship aspirations, and every win counts as they look to make a deep run in the postseason. Their dominant defense and improving offense make them one of the most well-rounded teams in the league.
For the Bengals, a loss would drop them further into the depths of the AFC standings. With only two wins so far, Cincinnati can’t afford to lose many more games if they hope to stay in playoff contention. The pressure is mounting for this team, and with their offense still in flux, it will be up to the defense to keep them in the game.
Prediction: Steelers 30, Bengals 20
Given the current form of both teams, the Steelers are expected to come out on top in this matchup. Their defense is playing at an elite level, and their offense, while not perfect, has enough firepower to take advantage of a Bengals team that has struggled both offensively and defensively. Pittsburgh should be able to get the win on the road and continue their dominant start to the season.
The Bengals, however, will need to find a way to neutralize the Steelers’ pass rush and get their offense firing on all cylinders if they want to make this a competitive game. Without Joe Burrow, it’s hard to see how they can keep pace with Pittsburgh’s attack.
A Crucial Test for the Steelers
For Pittsburgh, this is a crucial opportunity to build momentum as the season progresses. A win against a divisional rival, especially on the road, would be a statement that they’re serious about making a run at the AFC North title. With the Ravens and Browns nipping at their heels, every win counts in what promises to be a tight division race.
While the Bengals are a team in transition, the Steelers know that they can’t afford to take any game lightly, especially against a team with as much talent as Cincinnati. However, with their defense leading the charge and Rodgers continuing to impress under center, Pittsburgh should emerge victorious in Week 7, continuing their strong push for the postseason.
