Cam Skattebo’s post-surgery text was so awesome Brian Daboll had to share
The football gods work in mysterious ways. Just when the New York Giants were starting to feel exciting, rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a gruesome dislocated ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles — one that’ll likely keep him out until 2026.
In the midst of what already feels like another lost season, this might be the straw that breaks Giants fans’ backs. For real, why can’t we have nice things? The injury looked brutal. Rookie quarterback (and Skatt’s best mate) Jaxson Dart knew something was off immediately — his reaction said it all. The entire sideline came out to show support for the 23-year-old, with Dart giving him a headbutt as he got carted off.

Big Blue’s fourth-round pick was taken to a local Philadelphia hospital, where he underwent surgery Sunday night. According to Brian Daboll, Skattebo gave him a classic Skatt-style update — texting him at 4:08 a.m. to say, "Spirits are good." Daboll shared the update with the media after Tuesday’s practice, with a playful nod to one of his favorite players:
"That's Skatt."

Brian Daboll reveals Cam Skattebo’s status after gruesome ankle injury
For the optics of the injury, the fact that Skattebo is feeling good enough to text his head coach just hours after surgery to let him know he's okay is objectively awesome. And the fact the text came in after 4:00 a.m. makes it even better.
Dabs went on to tell reporters that the human-sized fire hydrant's surgery went well and that he's doing alright:
Brian Daboll said "all went well" with Cam Skattebo's surgery. "He’s recovering. Obviously he’ll be missed. On the road to recovery.”

Still, it doesn't make the sting of likely losing him for the rest of the season any less.
The former Arizona State superstar was coming into his own. Through the seven-plus games he suited up for, he amassed a pretty ridiculous 617 all-purpose yards (410 rushing and 207 receiving), along with seven total touchdowns (five rushing and two receiving). For the "what would that look like over the course of the season" people, we're looking at 1,311 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns.

There's no doubt Skatt's got a long road ahead of him. But if he showed us anything in his limited playing time, it's that the G-Men have an absolute dawg in their backfield. So, rest up, get right, and come back next year, ready to take the league by storm. Here's to a speedy and healthy recovery.
Dylan Efron & Daniella Karagach’s Halloween Night Scores & Fan Reactions

It’s been a scary week for reality TV star Dylan Efron because, as he prepared for Halloween Night in Week 7 of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, he endured an injury that left him with a broken nose. Despite this, Efron pushed on, and on Show Day on October 28, he did not disappoint!

Efron and his professional dance partner Daniella Karagach performed a Viennese Waltz to “Can’t Help Falling In Love (DARK)” by Tommee Profitt and Brooke. The judges on the night were Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and special guest judge Cheryl Burke.
They looked incredible, and the judges were impressed, scoring them 35 out of 40. However, fans were really disappointed that Burke scored Efron an 8, and the comments reflect this.
