Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Delivers Viral Post Amid Calls to Start
Shedeur Sanders dropped a new post on social media as calls for him to take over the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback job continue to build.
Sanders served as the No. 2 quarterback for the first time this season during the Browns’ 23-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Colorado star moved up the depth chart following the trade of veteran Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals.
From the sidelines, Sanders watched as starter Dillon Gabriel struggled, getting sacked six times and completing 29 of 52 passes for 221 yards.
On Monday, Sanders shared a post without a caption — a few photos of him walking into the stadium and warming up pregame. Like most things Sanders does, it immediately went viral, drawing thousands of likes and comments from fans urging him to get his shot under center in Cleveland.
“We are waiting on the perfect timing,” one fan said.
“We ready to go crazy when you in bruh! We’re be patient,” another added.
“They can’t hold a real one down forever,” a fan added.
Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Remaining Patient
It’s been a steady climb for Sanders, who came in as a fifth-round pick. It’s featured ups and downs but now he’s closer than ever to seeing playing time. But for now, Sanders is focused on supporting Gabriel and waiting patiently for his number to be called.
“We’re going to make sure we do everything we can to make sure Dillon is ready for the game,” Sanders said. “So each and every day, even when Joe (Flacco) was the starter, everything. Prepare the right way and be ready to know that you could get out there any point in time. So, I’m overly confident within myself. I know when I first got here, I’m ready to play, but it’s up to the coaches and whatever decision they make, then I’m fine with.”
The Browns are 1-5 and the move to Gabriel has provided the spark the team was hoping for. Cleveland ranks last in the league in points per game, averaging less than 14 points.
Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Not Feeding Negativity
Sanders has found himself under increased scrutiny in recent weeks. During one interview, he mimed his answers after former NFL coach Rex Ryan publicly called him an embarrassment. He also stirred controversy by saying he believes he could outperform some of the quarterbacks currently starting around the league.
Despite the backlash, Sanders insists he won’t engage with the critics, saying he’s focused on staying positive and refusing to feed into the negativity.
“We’re not on no negativity from now on, man, we’re not doing that. I’m just here to be positive and I don’t speak on anything negative. So that’s the new way,” Sanders said. “That’s what we’re going forward with. Anything negative, we’re not talking about it. we’re not speaking on it.”
The Browns have a chance to turn things around this week as they host the 1-5 Miami Dolphins. Cleveland is a 2.5-point favorite for the matchup, per ESPN BET. It’s the first time the Browns have been favored in a game this season.
BREAKING NEWS: JAYDEN DANIELS BUILDS HOMES, NOT JUST HOPE — COMMANDERS STAR DONATES 8 SMART HOUSES TO WOUNDED VETERANS AHEAD OF VETERANS DAY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 14, 2025 — Jayden Daniels has always been known for his arm strength and leadership on the field, but this week, his impact went far beyond football. Just days before Veterans Day, the Washington Commanders quarterback donated eight custom-designed smart homes to severely wounded U.S. veterans.
The project is part of Daniels’ long-term initiative to honor soldiers injured in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other post-9/11 conflicts. For him, this is not just charity — it’s a way to give back to those who gave everything.
Each house is custom-built with adaptive technology, allowing residents to control lights, doors, and home systems through voice commands or mobile apps. The goal: restore independence and dignity for heroes who sacrificed theirs.
The homes feature barrier-free layouts, wide entrances, smooth flooring, and lowered kitchen and bathroom setups for wheelchair access. Every design element is meant to make daily life easier and more empowering.
They’re also energy-efficient, using solar panels and eco-friendly materials to reduce costs while promoting sustainability — something Daniels personally called “a new kind of freedom for those who earned it.”
Each property, valued between $500,000 and $700,000, is funded through Daniels’ partnership with the Generosity Sports Foundation, which works with local builders to construct homes near each veteran’s preferred community.
Since 2020, Daniels’ initiative has led to over 100 smart homes built nationwide, with new projects underway in New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Many veterans have called them “a true place of peace after years of struggle.”
Recipients include veterans from all branches — Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines — many living with limb loss, paralysis, or traumatic brain injuries suffered in service.
At the home dedication ceremony, Daniels spoke with humility and passion:
“These heroes gave more than most people can imagine. They fought for our safety, and now it’s our turn to fight for their comfort.”
He paused, his voice steady but emotional:
“Every door that opens, every light that turns on — it’s a reminder that they’re not forgotten. This country stands tall because they did first.”
Daniels’ effort has already inspired other athletes and Washington-based philanthropists to join, expanding the program to include financial grants, mobility vehicles, and veteran rehabilitation support.
As the snow began to fall over Washington, one truth echoed louder than any crowd at FedExField — Jayden Daniels isn’t just leading the Commanders. He’s leading by heart.
