Bold and the Beautiful Teases Matthew Atkinson’s Return — Will Thomas Finally Get a Real Storyline?
The Bold and the Beautiful is gearing up for another shakeup. As Hope prepares to marry Liam again, the soap’s newest Executive Producer, Casey Kasprzyk, revealed that Matthew Atkinson is back on set — which likely means Thomas Forrester is returning from Paris. His past drop-ins have been brief and intense, but this one has the power to change everything.

Key Takeaways
- EP Casey Kasprzyk confirmed Matthew Atkinson filmed scenes “this week.”
- Thomas may return just as Hope and Liam share engagement news.
- Hope has struggled with Liam’s divided loyalties — and Thomas could reopen old wounds.
- Steffy’s ongoing danger could pull Liam away again, exposing relationship cracks.
- Fans are ready for Thomas to finally have a lasting, meaningful storyline.
Thomas Is Back — Again
Kasprzyk’s Instagram story teased Thomas’ newest reappearance with a behind-the-scenes photo and the caption “this week.” That line alone has fans buzzing. Even if it’s another short stint, Thomas never needs long to stir hearts and trouble.
The last time Thomas showed up, emotions ran high. Thomas confronted Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) over choosing Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) instead of Taylor (Rebecca Budig), and the situation nearly exploded. But eventually, Thomas returned to Paris — leaving Hope (Annika Noelle) visibly shaken by the goodbye she pretended not to care about.
The Timing Couldn’t Be More Explosive
Hope has moved forward — fast. After ending her brief engagement to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Hope accepted Liam’s (Scott Clifton) proposal once again. And while on paper that suggests she’s ready to settle down, there’s one glaring issue: Liam has never fully chosen Hope over Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Hope has lived through that heartbreak already. She left Liam for Thomas once because she refused to spend her life sharing his attention — especially when Steffy was in danger. With Luna (Lisa Yamada) turning into a threat and Steffy already shaken, Liam may once again be pulled into chaos that sidelines his love life.
Enter Thomas. Ideal timing. Impossible chemistry. And history that’s far from resolved.
Is Thope About to Ignite… Again?
Thomas and Hope weren’t destroyed by a lack of love — just a lack of timing and trust. If Thomas shows up and Hope realizes she never stopped loving him? That engagement ring may start feeling awfully heavy.
Fans have been waiting for Thomas to get a story that lasts more than a few weeks. A real arc. Real love. Real stakes.
Could this be it? Are you rooting for another round of “Thope”?
The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, October 30: Taylor, the problem is Ridge, not Brooke

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your A

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
Taylor really needs to stop blaming Brooke for her inability to hold onto Ridge (and maybe Brooke should not blame Taylor when she inevitably loses Ridge to Taylor again). That's because it's Ridge who is the problem. He has been waffling back and forth between both of these women for more than 30 years. He is a one-trick pony at this point. Plus, Taylor stood there and told Deacon she had more respect for herself than Brooke and wouldn't throw herself at Ridge like that. Um, who is she kidding, and does she not remember her own life earlier this year? She completely threw herself at Ridge and jumped into bed with him the second he dumped Brooke. That's not even much of an exaggeration, as Ridge ran right from a fight with Brooke to Taylor's bed. Taylor then proposed to Ridge because she was so afraid of losing him to Brooke that she needed him to put a ring on it once again. A few short years ago, both Brooke and Taylor finally got the memo and kicked Ridge right out of their lives and became BFFs. It was probably one of the most refreshing tales we have ever seen this show tell, but for some reason, the friendship was ruined when both women decided they wanted Ridge again. Rinse, repeat, and ho-hum.
