The Buffalo Bills will return from their bye this week against the Carolina Panthers, and with two weeks before the NFL trade deadline, the team could be looking to make a few moves.
One area the Bills need to improve is their run defense; they are currently allowing an average of 156.3 rushing yards per game, ranking 31st in the NFL.
The Bills could use another defensive lineman or even a linebacker, and one possible linebacker option just became available.
Logan Wilson Could Be a Fit For the Bills
According to ESPN, Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson requested a trade on Thursday, and Fansided’s Brandon Ray would like to see the Bills trade for Wilson.
“Wilson currently has two years left on his deal that he has with the Bengals and it wouldn’t be a huge hit for a team to take on the contract if they trade for him,” Ray wrote on Thursday. “The Bills need help at linebacker due to injuries and inconsistency through their six games. Let’s not forget as well that Wilson and Josh Allen played together at Wyoming so there would be a little bit of familiarity.”
The Bengals drafted Wilson in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft and have played in 75 games for them over six seasons, recording 536 total tackles, 5.5 sacks
According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, Wilson was a key part of the Bengals’ turnaround in 2021.
“Wilson has been a pivotal member of Cincinnati’s defense in the turnaround,” Baby wrote on Thursday. “In 2021, two years after the Bengals had the worst record in the NFL, Wilson was a starter on a Cincinnati squad that reached the Super Bowl. In six seasons with the team, he has made 75 starts and totaled six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 11 interceptions.”
The Bengals weren’t a good football team before Wilson arrived in 2020, and some of that had to do with him and the defense coming together, but mainly because of quarterback Joe Burrow.
Cincinnati held the No. 1 overall pick in 2020, taking Burrow after his amazing final year of college at LSU, where he threw for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns, going 15-0 and winning the national championship.
Wilson Could Help Buffalo Beat Kansas City
Burrow helped change the Bengals, and less than two full seasons into his NFL career, he led the team to a Super Bowl, where they fell to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Bengals haven’t been back to the Super Bowl since that season, but did go to the AFC title game the following season, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wilson could bring his Super Bowl experience to Buffalo, along with his insights from defeating the Chiefs in the playoffs, just as the Bengals did in the 2021 AFC title game to reach the Super Bowl.
It will be interesting to see if the Bills do pick up the phone and call the Bengals for Wilson, and even if they do, there’s a good chance the Bengals won’t do business with a playoff contender from their own conference.
BREAKING: Boston Red Sox Owner John Henry Issues Strong Statement Condemning Racist Behavior Among Fans

In a powerful and unequivocal statement that has reverberated throughout MLB, Boston Red Sox owner John Henry has condemned recent reports of racist behavior among fans during home games, calling such actions "completely unacceptable, disgraceful, and wholly contrary to the values that the Boston Red Sox and our community stand for." His remarks come in the wake of disturbing reports of racial slurs and discriminatory actions allegedly taking place in and around Fenway Park, prompting Henry to take immediate and decisive action.
“Racism has no place at Fenway Park, in Boston, or in Major League Baseball,” Henry declared, his voice firm and resolute. “These actions are not only disrespectful but also go against the very spirit of inclusivity, respect, and sportsmanship that we have built here. The Red Sox organization stands for unity and community, and we will not tolerate behavior that undermines those core values.”
Henry’s strong words follow troubling reports from the Red Sox' recent home games, where fans were allegedly seen or heard using racist language and engaging in discriminatory behavior. These incidents have raised alarms about the persistent issue of racism in sports, and Henry made it clear that the Red Sox will take immediate steps to ensure that such behavior is eradicated.
“I’ve said this before, and I will say it again — we are a team for all people,” Henry continued. “Boston is a city that thrives on diversity and inclusivity, and that same spirit extends to our fanbase. We will not allow hatred or bigotry to be part of our game. Every fan should feel safe, respected, and valued when they come to our stadium. Anything less is unacceptable.”
To address these incidents, Henry announced that the Red Sox will be strictly enforcing the team’s Fan Code of Conduct, which explicitly prohibits hate speech, discrimination, and any actions that create an unsafe or hostile environment. He warned that any individual found engaging in discriminatory behavior would face permanent bans from attending future games at Fenway Park. Additionally, the Red Sox are working to enhance security measures and increase fan awareness of the team’s commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
“We will not turn a blind eye to this,” Henry stated. “If anyone is caught promoting hate or racism, they will be banned from the stadium permanently. This is a zero-tolerance policy. We are committed to protecting the integrity of our fan experience, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure this behavior does not have a place in our stadium or in our community.”
Henry’s swift and forceful response has drawn praise from across the league, with many applauding his leadership in confronting the issue head-on. “John Henry’s statement is a model for how team owners should respond to these issues,” said MLB analyst and former player David Ortiz. “It’s important for the leaders of organizations to take a stand and send a message that racism and hate will not be tolerated. He’s doing exactly that.”
The Red Sox organization has also pledged to work more closely with local community groups and organizations to promote inclusivity and combat racism, both inside and outside the stadium. Henry emphasized that the team’s commitment to anti-racism efforts will go beyond just enforcing policies — it will be part of a broader, long-term effort to create a more inclusive and welcoming culture for all fans.
As Major League Baseball continues to address issues of racism within its ranks, Henry’s statement serves as a crucial reminder that sports should be about unity, respect, and shared love of the game. The Red Sox are sending a clear and firm message that discrimination will never be allowed to take root in their community, and they are willing to take bold action to ensure a safe environment for all.
