Bears' QB Caleb Williams sends message to Vikings with Brian Urlacher jersey
Sure, new Chicago Bears' head coach Ben Johnson came from the Detroit Lions and it will be intense when the teams meet next Sunday in Week 2 of the NFL season. But quarterback Caleb Williams gave us a hilarious reminder before Monday night's game that the Minnesota Vikings are still the Bears' bad-blood NFC North rival as well.
All week in advance of Monday's primetime showdown, the media fell in love with the warm-'n-fuzzy story about how Vikings' quarterback J.J. McCarthy grew up a Bears fan. He went to games with his family, and a cute photo of him as a kid in a Brian Urlacher No. 54 Bears jersey even went viral.
Either by uncanny coincidence or the result of a direct jab at the Vikings and his quarterback counterpart, guess whose jersey Williams showed up in when he arrived at Soldier Field?
You guessed it. Urlacher's No. 54
After an up-and-down preseason, Williams certainly hopes to make a statement with his play against the Vikings in his first game under Johnson. He's already sent his message ... loud and clear.

Xavier Worthy’s Grudge With Buffalo Bills Fuels His Explosive Rookie Season

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft following a trade with the Buffalo Bills to move up. The deal still annoys Worthy, who vented his thoughts on the Bills' decision to pass on him.
The former Texas Longhorns star appeared as a guest on the most recent episode of 'The Pivot podcast' to share his feelings on Buffalo.
"Obviously, people say he's just talking," said Worthy, "but if you really look at it, that's like saying they really don't want you, their pick is there, and they traded it away, and they needed a receiver, and they end up drafting a receiver, and then it plays out like that. I mean, you can't ask for anything better."
In the 2024 AFC Championship victory over the Bills, Worthy caught six passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. He had a stellar rookie season with 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns.
He finished 10th among all rookies in yards from scrimmage with 742. He led the Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIX loss, catching eight passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns, setting rookie records.
