Aidan Hutchinson News Surfaces After Crushing Lions Loss to Packers
Posted November 29, 2025
The Detroit Lions came up short on Thanksgiving Day, dropping a crushing 31–24 to the Green Bay Packers after a festive NFC North showdown at Ford Field. The Packers were in top form and soared on four touchdown passes from Jordan Love, while Detroit rallied behind Jared Goff and a career-day from Jameson Williams, but it wasn’t enough.
Goff put up 256 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-26 passing, so he had a strong game, but quarterback Jordan Love of the Packers absolutely lit up the stat sheet. Love went 18-of-30 for 234 yards and tossed four touchdown passes, according to ESPN research, matching his career high, two of them coming on clutch fourth-down conversions.
Williams delivered a breakout performance with 7 catches for 144 yards, a career high, according to ESPN. Meanwhile the Packers got big days from their playmakers: Dontayvion Wicks caught 6 balls for 94 yards and two TDs, and Christian Watson added 80 receiving yards and a long 51-yard touchdown grab.
So, it was a rough Thanksgiving for the Motor City, and now, the Detroit Lions are looking shaky to make the playoffs. Aside from all the drama going on when it comes to the NFL, news surfaced on Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson after the game.
Detroit Lions Defensive End Aidan Hutchinson in the News
Hutchinson, of course, went to the University of Michigan. Now, the Wolverines are coming up on their annual rivalry game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, November 29.
College Game Day took to X on Friday, November 28, to announced that Hutchinson will be a guest on their broadcast. “A Michigan icon,” they stated on X. “Aidan Hutchinson will be joining us in Ann Arbor as tomorrow’s guest picker ahead of the game.”
So, Hutchinson will be back with his old team on Saturday to cheer them on against Ohio State. Then, he has to get ready for the Dallas Cowboys game, which is coming up on Thursday, December 4, at Ford Field.
Dan Campbell Reflects on Detroit Lions Loss to Green Bay Packers
After the Lions’ loss to the Packers, Campbell said that he could relate to those in his loyal following who were upset.
“Yes. I know. I know that’s frustrating when you’re a fan watching,” he said. “But, I know how we needed to play against that defensive front. And it was about playing for the last possession. We were going to do that, I was going, defense was going to get the stop, we were going to use our timeouts, get one more shot to go win the game and that’s how we were playing it.”
Campbell added, “I wanted to play it just like that. So, I wanted to keep it in our hands and not turn it into a pin your ears back and start flying up the field with (Packers defensive lineman) Micah Parsons and those guys.”
With the loss still stinging, the Detroit Lions now face a stretch of honest soul-searching before their showdown with the Dallas Cowboys. Campbell’s squad will need to reset fast and reclaim the swagger that’s fueled their rise.
Colts Make an Offer for Maxx Crosby That the Raiders Cannot Refuse – Indianapolis Is Determined to Bring the Raiders’ Defensive Icon to Lucas Oil Stadium, No Matter the Cost
The Indianapolis Colts are making a bold push to solidify their defense, and it’s clear that they are not holding back. With their defensive line struggling to make an impact this season and with hopes of returning to the playoffs, the Colts have made a stunning offer to acquire star pass rusher Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders — a move many analysts are calling “impossible to ignore.”
According to sources close to the situation, the Colts have put together a package that includes two first-round picks (2026 and 2027), a third-round pick in 2026, and two promising young defensive players, defensive tackle Eric Johnson and linebacker Zaire Franklin. In return, Indianapolis hopes to add Crosby, who has been a one-man wrecking crew on a Raiders defense that has otherwise struggled to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
Maxx Crosby’s Continued Dominance Despite the Raiders’ disappointing 2–5 record, Crosby has been a standout performer, with 4 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in just 7 games. As the heart and soul of Las Vegas’ defense, he’s consistently been the only reliable force in an otherwise chaotic unit. However, with the Raiders entering a rebuild, the possibility of parting with their defensive leader has become a real option, especially given the tempting offer from Indianapolis.
The Colts’ Defensive Needs The Colts have been searching for a dominant pass rusher since the departure of longtime defensive leader Dwight Freeney. Through 8 games this season, Indianapolis has only recorded 10 sacks — ranking near the bottom of the league. Their defensive pressure rate is a mere 22%, and head coach Shane Steichen knows that if the Colts are to compete for a playoff spot and beyond, they need an elite defender like Crosby to make an impact immediately.
Crosby’s arrival would instantly transform the Colts’ defensive line, giving them a true game-changer who can wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks. His relentless play style would be a perfect fit for defensive coordinator Gus Bradley’s aggressive approach, and Crosby would immediately become a cornerstone of the unit.
Teammate Reactions Colts star linebacker Jonathan Taylor expressed his excitement about the potential acquisition:
“If Maxx Crosby joins us, we’ll be a nightmare for any offense,” Taylor said after practice. “The guy is relentless. He doesn’t stop, and that’s exactly the kind of energy we need. We’ve seen what he can do on the field, and having him on our side would make us that much stronger.”
Indianapolis’ Playoff Push The Colts are clearly committed to making a push for the playoffs, and this aggressive move for Crosby shows that they are willing to do whatever it takes to get there. With the team’s playoff hopes hanging in the balance, adding Crosby could be the missing piece they need to create a dominant defense and make a serious run at the postseason.
As the trade deadline approaches, all eyes will be on the Raiders to see if they’ll accept the Colts’ tempting offer. If the deal goes through, Maxx Crosby will be the centerpiece of a revamped Indianapolis defense that will give opposing offenses nightmares for years to come. The Colts are ready to make a championship push — and Crosby may be the final piece to make it happen.
